Backing up/restoring the entire Windows 10 system what the best solution?

I have to have the battery of my notebook changed so I have to leave my notebook in the shop with the technician. I know that changing a battery is not difficult but I have never done it before I could buy the battery and the kit but then I am ‘afraid’ of making trouble :)

I also imagine that a technician should have neither the time nor the inclination to see what's on another person's PC, but I don't know the technician, so I have to weigh up what to do before I bring the notebook to him

This is what I would like to do (and my question)

- a full backup of my windows 10 with my windows 10 option (i.e. without using software) and save the image on an external hhd

- Restore my notebook by uploading the image file I have in the distribution (the image was made I think by the shop/factory where the former owner bought the nobook) so I bring the notebook with a new Windows system and if they have to do tests after putting in the new battery they can do everything

When i get the notebook back with the new battery connect my external hhd and restore (always and only using windows 10 options) as a procedure is it correct and 100% safe? not changing hardware (apart from the battery) the system should be perfect and not unstable but I am also interested to know if it would be recommended to use third party software (such as paragon) or the software of windows 10 is perfect, tested and has no bugs and therefore much more reliable and secure

tnx

Helen

I use the BootCDs of the latest edition of Macrium (v10) . . . as well as a very old version of Acronis True Image 2019 (build 18100.)

IMHO, versions of Acronis later than the venerable ATI 2019 have just not been worth using, any more.
