Rainmaker
Started getting this nag screen Friday Nov. 8th. Been working fine till Friday Nag appears after opening Autocad. Closing the screen allows the program to work, but nag reappears about every 60 seconds or so. Autocad 2024 on Win 10. No new Autodesk products or anything was installed before this happened. Doesn't seem to be happening with Autocad 2025 on a different Win 11 box. Have the genuine-software2.autodesk.com blocked in the hosts file. Anybody know how to block the nag popup? // R

Anybody know how to block the nag popup? // R Autodesk and Adobe are creating every now and then a mirror for their license checking servers.... this is why you get this nags from time to time. the simple idea to bypass this "as I do it myself" is the following: 1- download "Charles Web Debugging Proxy" application and install it (you can find a full version in this forum). 2- fire up "Charles" 3- now launch Autocad or any Adobe program 4- locate any server address that appears on Charles left side that has relation with autocad or Adobe and block it in hosts file (dont forget to take out "https://"from the address -see picture below) 5- for easy hosts file blocking I use 'File hosts editor +" or just download "microsoft powerToys" for the same purpose, it has a good file editor between its features. in this picture you can see clearly the weird and random name servers that Autocad or Adobe are using... I hope I did not miss any detail, feel free to comments and ask if it did not work for you . Good lock -from samoray- Rainmaker
Rainmaker
It was api.genuine-software.autodesk.com adding that to the hosts file seems to have killed the nag, so far anyway. samoray
