Popular Post BluePT
A lot of people is asking how to deal with New Outlook ads in Windows 10/11. Adblockers are not the solution! The clean solution is to edit the windows hosts file and add the following line: Spoiler 0.0.0.0 m.adnxs.com Note: the old address "outlookads.live.com" no longer works! dabourzannan, Matt, Herobrine and 4 others 6
Solution SL0TH Posted October 20 Solution Share Posted October 20 (edited) Spoiler @echo off echo 0.0.0.0 m.adnxs.com >> %windir%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts echo 0.0.0.0 outlookads.live.com >> %windir%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts exit Here's a simple batch do add it. Just save that to an empty .txt file, change the extension to .bat, right click and run as admin Edit: Added the 2nd URL just in case. Herobrine
This doesn't quite work for me. Im still seeing ad mail at the top of my hotmail inbox even after setting this in my host file and restarting. Kalju

Herobrine
@BluePT adding outlookads blocked the last ad. I guess there's no way of removing the placeholder for it though. Are you using something like Adguard too as I don't know why your outlook doesn't have this issue unless your outlook came from MS Office (just a guess). BluePT
@Herobrine Hummm... no I don't use Adguard, but I have Kaspersky Plus installed. May be the Kaspersky extension is blocking something here.
