<img src="http://nsanedown.com/images/logos/eBoostr.png" class="logo" alt="eBoostr" title="eBoostr" />eBoostr™ is an alternative solution to Vista’s ReadyBoost and SuperFetch technologies, available on XP, Vista and 7. It speeds up your PC and improves application responsiveness by using flash memory and free RAM as an extra layer of performance-boosting cache for your PC. Use up to four inexpensive flash devices to speed up your system. Add more speed to your PC without any hardware upgrade! The more often you use a particular application, the faster it’ll perform. eBoostr gathers statistics on what applications you use and how often, optimizing their performance by pre-caching their files and data and allowing faster access speed and reduced delays.

Thanks, shought! :)

This little tool is really dandy for people who are still using xp.. i only stopped using this, since i started using Windows 7 which have its own built-in readyboost just like vista.

Cheers,

Tuck

I've got Windows 7 now but I'm still planning on using it.

Any particular reason shought?

it's been a while since i used this, really. I participated on their beta test program and got myself a key not so long ago. And I might jump back into it if i see other people having significant boost with it. ;)

The general theory that Microsoft isn't the best out there? :P

Not sure what SuperFetch actually does, but I tried to disable it and it hardly uses 5 MB of memory, I'd rather have eBoostr use 256 MB ;)

And Oh yeah, I remember now.. Another reason why i stopped using this is because it costs me free space from drive C... so I uninstalled it.

-And as to maximizing my RAM usage without any help from any 3rd-party app, i just disabled paging or just set it it as low as 512mb. Works like a charm! ;)

Same here, got 256 MB paging file ;)

If you have over 2 GB of memory 256 MB paging file is enough (not using PhotoShop or any 'big' games).

Usually this thing has to have the Control Panel exe and the Service exe files replaced.. from what I have seen around..

Some other sites which turn up in Google when searching for eBoostr 4.0.0 Build 554 or eBoostr 4.0.0.554 are reporting it is a Beta, don't be warned by these sites, it is NOT a Beta ;)

A lot of AV's are detecting them as containing malware...

it`s because they are packed with warez version of VMProtect. (pointed out by cempret and confirmed by tonyblair)

Can tonyblair find a way to avoid that?
