Jose-gr
Hello friends ! I´m really desperate about my PC, when I run AIDA and FurMark together or Furmark alone (when I run it 2 or more times) my PC crashes, also when I run games for ca. 30 seconds it crashes with black screen and restart. It also crashes sometimes when I use Photoshop with Content Aware Fill on large images. Surfing the web, listening to music and watching online videos work without any problem, also other apps work fine. In a virtual machine the FurMark runs without any problem. I tried everything I could find on the internet already, but now I don´t know what to do any further. Checked all components of my PC with AIDA (run alone) and all seems ok, also fan of GFX card and memory. Could it be a virus ? I use ESET Internet Security. PLEASE help me ! Thanks José
kasper
do you get BSoD or does it happen without it ? Jose-gr
Jose-gr
Hi kasper ! Thanks for answering, I get without BSoD, just a black screen and reboot. Just a question, could it be the Monitor ? I have updated the monitor with a new Firmware 10 minutes ago, maybe the old FW was the problem ? Have to test it. TheBig
If it only happens when the processor and graphics are required to perform more by a predetermined program, then it could be the power supply. Hello TheBig ! Thanks for answering, too ! How can I find out which PSU I have, is there an option in AIDA to find out ?
Jose-gr
I tested the whole thing now with the updated monitor fw and seems ok for now, will test more tonight ! Could it have been the old monitor fw ? It´s a Samsung Odyssey G8 NEO connected via DP. It was released on 11.07.24 (file date) and the website download of the fw is dated 24.07.24 ! Maybe they fixed it ? Edited July 28 by Jose-gr

If you have a powerful graphics card you can manually throttle it by setting it to use less power.
DLord
System specification along with related events logged in Event Viewer (if any) would be helpful. I also believe it's power related and I believe it is related to your graphics card. Edited July 29 by DLord
