meohmy
This mandatory service stack update is causing me multiple software errors on a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro. My computer is a new build with Windows being installed on a Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB. Many programs refuse to install or will install but not run, none of them being flagged by Windows Defender, if I remove KB5039212 everything will work as normal. Is there a way to block this particular update? Some examples of software not starting are FlashFXP (yes I know its old), SamFW Tool & DVDFab both portable and installed
selesn777
You should disable automatic system updates (Windows) and use WUMT (Windows Update MiniTool) 22.04.2022 Portable Edited June 27 by selesn777

appzter
...or you could download and use the Show or Hide Updates troubleshooter from Microsoft.
meohmy
I have actually now used both those programs to block KB5039212 but every time I reboot my computer the dam thing still installs. Have now paused updates in settings so will see what happens.
