[HELP] Adobe CS3,4 and Lightroom Error

napi

Recommended Posts

hey guys.. I really need you help, tried installing *adobe lightroom 2.6, CS3, CS4 and adobe After effects, all Corel products* and keep getting an error ,

"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

tried downloading gdiplus.dll but no luck there,

im running XP sp2 32bit

its not a hardware thing cause i was able to install (lightroom 2.6, CS3, CS4 and Corel draw) on identical computers with the same spces, so i think its a windows problem,

the weird thing is i was able to install and run PSE7, Fireworks CS3 and Ps C2... :D

thank you :D

Try Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Data Execution Prevention > Turn on DEP for all the programs and services except those I select:

Add the photoshop installer in it and see...

Also it's recommended that you have all the windows update installed.

Can also be that some program is stopping it.

May also look at the requirements for those programs and see if you do not require SP3 installed to be compatible..

So what happened. Is it solved?

As heath28m mentioned, make sure you have SP3 of XP.
