A friend of mine, suddenly Microsoft Office 2019 stop working. Have a valid key.

Tried repair it but failed.

My question can he try reistall it again since the key is installed in the backup file?

Other options?

Thanks!!!

The issue is that the key is not longer activated. Belief is Volume key.

He has a backup folder name store where the key is located per Office team recommendations some time ago.

Location:

c:\windows\system32\store

Now the address is

C\windows\system32\DriverStore

My question:

where I am suppose the paste the store folder?

They are protected and I am unable to paste them  to see if trying paste them in different places works that way.

Your advice is very welcome!!!!

c:\windows\system32\store

&

C\windows\system32\DriverStore

This both are wrong paths.

=================================================
 MANUAL BACKUP PROCESS:
=================================================

1. Run Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Type "net stop sppsvc" without quotes, and hit Enter
3. Create a Copy of "C:\Windows\System32\spp\store" Folder!
4. Keep this Folder "store" somewhere else Safely
5. Replace the original "store" folder with the backup "store" folder (When you make a fresh installation). Choose TO REPLACE THE FILES IN THE DESTINATION
6. Done.!!!

=================================================

to restore this folder again follow above instructions

There is a thing / Issue with LTSC OS that you cannot restore the backup as above you need to have CID for both OS and office products to manually re-activate

Regards

Kindly point out the method how to proceed as I have wasted much time in searching for the specific method

Could you share a hint of the procedure how to proceed.

I have both the installation ids of the LTSC 2019 OS and also of office

I have searched and tried most of the things as

@Ghazi

As I mentioned earlier MANUAL BACKUP PROCESS: is not working on LTSC OS. You need to have IID and CID to reactivate manually

1. Verifiy that the Installation ID you have and the Installation ID currently showing in the system are the same.

2. Generate confirmation ID from the installation ID for both OS and office you have then let me know will assist.

Regards

The problem is the key of Windows 10 LTSC is blocked and no confirmation id can be generated.

If I provide the Installation ID, is there any process to generated confirmation id offline
