Damn thats one big keymaker at 6mb compressed. not extracted the archive yet.. 6,063,616bytes for a keymaker.. almost as big as the main app.

 

update. just extracted and the keymaker has been binned by ESET as a TROJAN.

probably due to the packer used.. (Heuristic)Protector: Safengine Shielden
exeinfope however names it : Themida / Winlicense v3.0.0.0 - 3.1.3.0 - Oreans Technologies

and why is there a EP section named .boot

Themdia added extra 3.x mb for packing

There is hook inside in resources which needs extraction is 2.7mb also packed with themida

You dont add email or license key.

Please read help

 

1. Click hosts

2. Click hook and export the hook to installation directory

3. Click generate and it is registered now itself, you dont add nothing as it is now subscription based software, so automatically you are registered lifetime when you click generate and exported hook

 

If your license still says free by doing above steps reboot the pc thats it

you missed something Jasi2169.. you forgot to mention that HIS ANTIVIRUS might pick up the HOOK as a trojan.

For me it is a much more easier to use trial of GU and Timeshift for years instead of using keymakers....

I was using thee old KG and now it is not working.  Even my custom folders gone.

@Mikeypr: Offline Timeshift an then offline installation of trial version  of Glary Utilities with program, which is running for a minute in offline mode and then Timeshift back to normal time in online mode  and restarting Glary Utilities program - this works for version 5 and for version 6 untill now without any issues. What do you mean by KG?

 

So, once again the steps:

 

1. Download actual or older version of Glary Utilities Pro:

https://www.glarysoft.com/aff/download.php?s=GUP

 

Diosconnect from internet - offline mode.

2. Timeshift to the year 2030 for example.

3. Still in offline mode install the trial of Glary Utilities Pro and let it run for a minute or more.

4. Connect to the internet and turn back time to automatic mode.

5. Set your desidered settings in Glary Utilities and restart the program.

6. You are done - your GU trial will be valid till 2030.

really Jojco83.. you dont know what 2 letter KG means in terms of sites like these.. KG = KeyGen or Key Generator.. or technically as it should be called a SERIAL GENERATOR.. as depending on what type was written... you type in your name and the serial is created based on your name..
others are random serials generating by an algorithm ripped from the app that requires registration.. but isn't based on your name.

aka click GENERATE and it changes with each click.. name on the other hand.. DOESN'T.

@andy2004: Thanks for your explanation, so, as I have said earlier, I have never used any keygen for Glary Utilities, because there was no reason to use it  because the trial version of GU with Timeshift is identical to paid pro version as well.

I've used many for various apps.. Tuneup utilities, winzip. powerarchiver, winhex, winrar, xnview, i think i'll stop putting program names and just put pretty much every app thats not freeware thats currently on my computer including a few games..

The fix worked for me (I tested it in a virtual machine : Windows 10 under Vmware Workstation Pro) 

 

The main "fix file" Version.dll submitted to virustotal (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload) doesn't seem to be safe.

 

I can't give you the results of virustotal because I have deleted the "Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1 Keymaker" and Version.dll too.

 

But it's a good thing for you to submit to virustotal the file"Version.dll (that Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1 Keymaker created/copied in the install directory of Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1).

As I had been using a Key, that was generated a few years ago It looks like it will no longer work.  Just comes up with Free mode, and no trial. Would have been a good way to use it.

the FIX file was packed/protected.. so virustotal came up with whatever because of that protection.. if the creator hadn;t of packed it.. with THAT packer it would have probably shown as CLEAN..
Eset as i posted shows as a TROJAN..see pic in my first post, and deleted the file.. Piece of advice is DONT USE THAT PROTECTOR..

i also mentioned in my first post above.. which PACKER/protector was used.. the reason it comes up as trojan is simple.. people who create trojans use that protector to HIDE their trojan.. and when its found by the antivirus people.. they record what was used to hide it.. so when a file packed with that program is found it is automatically classed as a trojan.. has been done like this for YEARS..
example.. UPack <packer.. tight compression.. used to pack trojans.. but itself is Clean.. but because trojan creators used it.. it became classed as trojan.. and any file packed with it is classed as a trojan.

another FSG > Fast Small good.. packer.. as above.. take a clean file.. pack with FSG or Upack.. and now it shows as TROJAN..

I submitted the file Version.dll to virustotal and I was talking about this file, not about the "Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1 Keymaker".

 

How to proove, despite virustotal analysis, that Version.dll is safe (Version.dll is the fix that Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1 Keymaker created/copied in the install directory of Glary Utilities v6.1.0.1) ? Is Version.dll a packed file ?

^the hook is the version.dll file.. and he;'d pack it with Themida <<which brings up false positives for those reasons i mentioned.

the reason he used it.. was to protect the file he "fixed" from being copied and other people taking credit for it.

however some people find the word trojan when being scanned and some people reinstall there os and make sure not to use those files again.

and then ignore anything posted by the "cracker".. or tell people wrongly.. that he INFECTS their systems.. etc.. (I'm not saying this, this is what other would say)

and all because themida <protector was used..
There are tools out there you can download and scan for yourself..

Nauz File Detector < is 1 of them..

Exeinfo PE another.. 

they just give information as to was is used.. they dont unpack.

Sorry coz I tested on Sandbox and not working as i said above! 😅
