jalaffa
Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. In the past, you have to download a huge PDF Reader from another software company, go through a lengthy installation process and wait for an annoying splash window to disappear just to open a PDF document. Moreover, if you want to annotate a PDF document, you have to pay US$299 to buy that certain PDF software.Download

Jota.Ce
Thanks for this update !!!Installer seems to be stupid now. And badly translated/written.For example... it doesn't let you write manually destination folder for Foxit.
Administrator DKT27 Posted April 2, 2010 Administrator Share Posted April 2, 2010 Thanks for the update.@Jota.Ce: Are you sure? I'm not sure that I would like to install it then.
Jota.Ce
It lets you decide parent folder by browsing... i.e. you select "C:\My_Programs", then it puts "C:\My_Programs\Foxit Reader" in text box.You can't write in that box, so you can't install it on X:\Prog\Foxit (as i usually do).But i installed it on another place and moved onto my dedicated folder, no problem at all. aaaa
Foxit Software gone crazy?!? This installs Ask Toolbar without permission! (it is NOT optional anymore)
Administrator DKT27 Posted April 2, 2010 Administrator Share Posted April 2, 2010 It asked me for a permission. ;)BTW, the serial still works or not?
jalaffa
It asked me for a permission. ;)BTW, the serial still works or not?Funny you should mention that. Someone (DKT27) asked me about the usefulness of a full contra a free version in the prior thread. Me on a fresh setup has not bothered to register it. The free version is ok for me. Administrator DKT27 Posted April 3, 2010 Administrator Share Posted April 3, 2010 LOL :lol:Well I want it registered, it's just my non-piracy liking friends that wanted to know if it works properly in free mode. But yea I totally forgot about that. :P
Jota.Ce
Older serial worked for me (i didn't even try to change/refresh it), but it's the same offered here. And Ask toolbar is optional, just don't click on Next, Next, Next. We must create a new term: "Nextheadz". I know some of them. And now my computer classroom is full of Yahoo-PdfForge toolbars in browsers uagggggggggggggggggggggg (stupid flanders, errr, nextheadz xD). Jota.Ce
I think those people are confused with search box in Foxit !!!Foxit search box is located near to an "Ask" button, but that box is used to search on document (just don't click on "Ask" button). An "Ask toolbar" should be a new tool bar added to any of your browsers and these people seem to be talking about search box in Foxit. Installer asked for permission here before installing such a tool bar. And it didn't install it, but yes, i have an "ask" button on search text box.But i'm talking from my XPSP3, who knows in newest OSs ?I agree that Ask button should not be shown in a paid version.Anyway, thanks for toolbar free version. I think Foxit people will fix this issue very soon.
aaaa
In the latest version ask toolbar was installed without even asking, that's for sure, me and others have confirmed, they said that this would not happen on next versions.thanks :)

I mean no more Foxit, no more Adobe R, something new small, light, ideally not comertialised?>Thanks!
