Enable Windows Defender In Windows 10 Registry

G'day guys and girls,

I cannot re-enable Windows Defender in the registry. Please see pics attached.

I even tryed in safe mode.

Go to your registry here:

 

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinDefend

 

and check if start is a (2) and not a (4) like the pic shows:

And you have to be in safe mode to be able to change this!

 

I disabled mine. That's why the picture has a (4)

Thank you for the answers and syggestions you gave me, unfortunately none worked for me, I keep getting "no acsses" in the registry and in services. I think I'll reinstall Windows with Rufus and keep prersonal files and programs.

Sounds like malware behavior. Malwarebytes has a forum where they can have a look for you by asking for scans and logs.

It's a free service by dedicated people so take it as it goes. They seem pretty nice.

If you do have malware keeping your personal files and programs could just bring the problem back.

I tryed everything with no success, I ended up doing a celan install and full update; cleaned the Win apps and reinstalled softwara. Very good now.
