We will simply be making a new type of search engine. Let's get started!!

 

Starting with, What is Programmable search engine?

 

Programmable Search Engine lets you include a search engine on your website to help your visitors find the information they're looking for. Because Programmable Search Engine is based on Google's core search technology, you can be confident that your users are getting high quality, relevant results.

 

So you know what programmable search engine is so let's make one now:

 

This search engine is powered by Google themselves. Thanks to them for giving us this extraordinary feature!!

 

Step 1: First go to CSE. Sign in or sign up

Step 2: Now you will be in Programmable search engine making site. 

Step 3: Now click on the blue button stating "Add"

Step 4: Name your search engine. We are using "thenextweb" in this case. 

Step 5: Now add the site you want to make search engine for. So I will use: www.thenextweb.com/*

Step 6: Please note that you have to add * after slash "/"

Step 7: Again click on the blue button stating "Add" which is in rightwards to search bar

Step 8: Now tick the captcha and create the search engine

Step 9: Now you will be given an html code. Copy the website link which will look like: https://cse.google.com/cse.js?cx=e7a0baf8de70b47f0

Step 10: Put it in the search bar of GOOGLE

Step 11: Just remove the .js keyword in the link. If you don't do this, a .txt file will be automatically downloaded. The link will now look like: https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=e7a0baf8de70b47f0

Step 12: Search it up and now input the desire thing in search bar. e.g. I will add robotics

Step 13: Voila you will have your desired articles/software/guide/courses or whatever.....

Step 14: In case, The web URL is changed then head back to CSE and edit the programmable search engine
