TheEmpathicEar
Is there any way to disable this w/o having root access? I just tried to update an app and got the usual error message about Signature Conflict in the 2 apps. Installed and Update
UpGrade
As far as i know you need root to disable signature verification haris_sane69 and TheEmpathicEar
indhimaga
@TheEmpathicEar You can use this one https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/AppManager
BigBear
What type of app are you getting the conflict on ?,if its a modded app this can happen if you are trying to update an app modded by a different modder as they use their own signatures. TheEmpathicEar
Yes, one MODed app from this site and another from Android Applications. [NO root] This AppManager, can it change signatures? Or, is there another app that can do this [in Android]?
BigBear
I don't think you can alter signatures as modders add these to apps to advertise themselves or make the mod unique to themselves. If you need an update to an app it would be best to delete the old app and install the new one.
UpGrade
@BigBear To clarify, you can remove existing signature and resign with another. you cant modify an existing signature though. The OP was referring to disabling signature verification which android enforces systemwide to verify that you install apps with the same signatures only. This can only be done with root access.
