Is it safe to even try this? :fear: The last version was not recommended by people here. :fear:

Of course it's safe, I can highly reccomended it for usage without any problems.

Here you can look latest and very detailed reviews :

First one is reviewed with antivirus , second one without.

My opinion and that's how I'm using it is : Firewall, Defense+ and Sandbox turned on. No antivirus is needed.

But anyone can take a look at both reviews here and decide should AV be used or not.

I installed it just to see how it will work , after two days I removed it because I really don't need it, but I can say it was working great.

So I'm not alone in words: av is useless. ^^ I'm using it since 4.0 stable, configuration like shajt has, and no problems found so far.

This version passed CLT with flying colors.

What do you say? Is it worth a try? I don't wanna see the BSODs again. :tooth:

I'll still wait for one or two updates before I decide anything.

@DKT27, dcs18:

It's working fine, but they haven't ironed out all the bugs yet.

If you're thinking about the Sandbox, then you guessed right.

I was thinking about your BSODs and the other problems people had with the previous version. That's why I asked if this newest version is safe or not.

On the Comodo forums I found this one warning:

Still not fixed

Hmm. I had it on XP Pro x32. But yea it's sandbox driver or similar was one of the biggest reasons behind my BSOD.

And I'll wait for next version. If I'm right, they are fixing it quite fast. Not all things though. ;)

@DKT27:

The important thing is they're fixing it. And that's one of the things I like about COMODO ^_^
