use clean install again... some file need original .... the idmhelper files

I exited IDM. Renamed the Program Files folder (Internet Download Manager_Old).

Re-installed. Applied the fix but I still got the same message.

Is there a rogue registry entry that is the cause...?

I cant't find the targed of Ali.Dbg during the clean process. And he will never tell us what is the target. On my clean computer it works!!! Once I did remake of his Patch, tried on another computer of my friend, IDM didn't accepted the license with Ali.Dbg remake, on every attempt with reinstall, cleaning, using IDM resetter by Windows Addict, reboot PC, it allways say that we are using fake serial until I used the real Patch v17.8 by Ali.Dbg which works. But I forgot to check what was deleted on this computer, because I just tried to see is it work or still not. So, definitely we have black entry added.

@cyberloner Your repack doesn't execute on Windows XP. It just opened a webage to your site.

I was however able to open the repack with 7zip and check the EN.inf file.

Regarding registry cleanup, of the multiple registry entries that are marked for deletion listed at the bottom of the inf file, only 2 exist in the registry on my machine - e.g. {E6871B76-C3C8-44DD-B947-ABFFE144860D} - & neither contain any data.

Did a deep uninstall, cleaned everything out. Rebooted, installed and rebooted again. Ran Ali.Dbg new patch, rebooted again and its been quiet since.

Fingers crossed. Running W10 pro.

Don't have the nag screen, using Ali.Dbg. But for some reason, the IDM extension is throwing error on Chrome and Edge. Won't catch downloads.

I tried the cleaner.

"Not found" was the result for every entry searched by the .bat file. The final result showed:

The operation completed successfully

Error: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value

I use the Retail version of IDM.

You have to go to Extensions settings and allow it to access URL

IDMan.exe from Aleksandrows works fine, it's been 2 days using it, until now the notification never appears again.

@T3rM1nat0Rr3

Try this

First Reset IDM Activation, then try to activate

ps:

After the activation, if in some case, the IDM starts to show activation nag screen,
then just run the activation option again.

I use IDM Activation Script (IAS) v0.7 since a few months and have no problem with the last build of Internet Download Manager 6.40 Build 11

I have been using IDM Activation Script' (IAS) 0.7 by WindowsAddict and have  not had any problems. You don't have to re-patch  after every update. Just update idm and forget it.

It's not so for me

If it's not difficult - which of the three IDMan.exe - one patched by CrackingCity Patch v2.4 BTJB is the very first and second version is patched by Ali.Dbg v17.9, and the third (last version) IDMan.exe with manual processing?
The first two don't work...

Perhaps you need to update extension.

You posted 2 executables:

1.

2.

None of them works for me.

Hope it is simple enough.

IDM_Error.jpg

Previously I did try a few things before trying IDMan.exe (I used IDMan .exe from the first post)
- I previously downgraded the idm version (installed the old version right away) and used medicine from Ali.Dbg (IDM_6.3x_Crack_v17.8) in the hope that the old version of IDM will avoid the notification, but it doesn't work, it still shows up.
- then try to use IDM FS Cleaner v20.10.13 (from yaschir)
- update IDM again to version 6.40.11
- then replace with IDMan.exe from Aleksandrows
- Since it's not registered yet, I used medicine from Ali.Dbg (IDM_6.3x_Crack_v17.8) again, since then no notification anymore.
*Because there is an update medicine (IDM_6.4x_Crack_v17.9_zip) from Ali.Dbg, you can try this medicine after replacing IDMan.exe.

The workaround is pretty simple for me.

1. Use patched by Ali.Dbg v17.9

2. Reinstall IDM using retail version installer idman640build11f.exe

3. Whenever the installation progress near end, just don't click Finish

4. Run the patch, click Crack

5. Afterall you could click the Finish button.

6. I recommend you to restart the computer/laptop to make sure every process completed.

7. Done. Voila...

Using Ali.Dbg's fix, is causing a small bug to the way IDM takes over the downloads from the browser. I've tested this issue after a clean install on 2 different PCs without any medicine and after using Ali.Dbg's medicine. It only starts happening after applying the medicine. Ill try to provide the steps to replicate the issue:

After installing IDM and applying the medicine, go to Options and uncheck the "Launch IDM on startup" (see screenshot) and click OK.

Next, reboot the PC but DO NOT launch IDM.

Just open a browser like FireFox or Chrome and try downloading any file.

You will see that IDM is not downloading the file and instead the browser will start downloading it.

The only way for IDM to start taking over the downloads again is to launch it once. Now it will take over downloads from the browsers. However, after a reboot you will have to launch IDM again for it to start taking over the downloads.
