cFosSpeed 5.10 Build 1619

<img src="http://nsanedown.com/images/logos/cFosSpeed.png" class="logo" alt="cFosSpeed" title="cFosSpeed" />cFosSpeed is a network driver, which attaches itself to existing Internet connections. It then optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping. Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing the Internet traffic. It allows maximum speed while ensuring minimal Ping. You can use cFosSpeed with a router and/or a DSL-modem or cable-modem. You can also use cFosSpeed with other types of Internet access, ie. whenever you already have an existing Internet connection. cFosSpeed supports a wide variety of connections, like DSL, cable, ISDN, UMTS, etc.

Thanks to ravisoorya for the update.

Thanx for the update. :)

Try disabling your AV and firewall during the installation. ;)

fix the links...obviously wrong links as you can see 5.00 and not 5.10 :P

Fixed - thanks :) TR-Reset updated also. This would be needed to be tested on the new 5.10 version though... (On a new VM i just installed cFosSpeed so have 30 days left)

Yes it works great ^_^

It's just each time I had to update or reinstall Cfos speed, when I execute the new version I get a BSOD,PC reboots and then everythings goes well...weird

thanks for your advice about AV and firewall!

Welcome mate. :)

Can it also be because you must be trying beta? CFosSpeed installs drivers that make changes to the system. So it's always best to stay away from beta, even when others are not having the problem.

DK said something about this guy trying Beta.. I dunno.. I am about to update .. I absolutely can't believe the number of updates there are for me today and not one of them are going to be easy.. one has already kicked my !@#.. and Off I go again.. Only two of them have I put off because I have been writing myself a new version of my site and updating things.. removing some and changing others to all work as I designed it to originally.. but Windows 7 has changed the equation a bit..

Its like something doesn't want me to finish.. I about to make it happy because this computer is about to be stuck in the wall..... BUT I know its my fault.. if I was just stupid and had no idea what all this stuff was I would be fine.. but nOOOOOOooo.. I have to be a !@#$^&*( smart!@#...and run everything... it always happens this way though.. :lmao:

sure to say.no tweaks needed.just install.then cfos wil take care.u no need to bother about it.

but whenver ur download speeds get slowed down right click on window--calibrate line--click yes option.

That calibrate line thingy. Don't do it to often. The reason behind doing it is tat at times CFosSpeed may well forget your connection speed or have any problems with it. Then calibrate line.

If its the first time you are using it. I recommend you to upload a 15MB file to a fast hosting service. And download same sized file. But please make sure the download upload will max out. This makes cFosSpeed know that how fast and etc. your connection is and hence adjust it to your needs. ;)

There are quite a few settings @ Options > Settings... Start at the first page.. and select the settings as to how they relate to your connection. I use Layer 7 Protocol Detection, The Firewall, Automatic MSS/MTU Optimization, and Strict RTP checks.. The next thing I would do is skip to Programs and make sure to add the file for your programs and adjust the Priority you want those programs to have. It is usually recommended to start with low and only notch up one at a time for programs you want to have more priority than the other.. so in some cases you won't have High priority on one program while have low on another and completely disallow the traffic for it.. For whatever reason this can happen.. so when your done you may or may not have Full priority to one or more apps...Make sure you save your settings.. The budgeting, and tracking functions are going to be per your use and what you want..

Unless your running services out of your system it more than likely will not be needed to change any settings in the protocol areas... but you can if you properly understand that area and how it will effect your connection during normal operation.

Simple yet effective tool for those of us who don't have monster T1's and Fiber Optics..LOL

EDIT: ... and like DK says above it is good to only use calibration when needed and to make sure you test both up and down at your full connection bandwidth..
