Administrator Matt Posted February 22, 2022 Administrator Share Posted February 22, 2022 @boristhegrey Well, before you threaten us, why don't you provide us with additional information and details about your PC's CPU, operating system, and browser to help us solve your problem? Furthermore, for your information, the site has no problems; otherwise, you would not be the only one who complains. Kalju
This is a good tip that you should take care of your computer problems. I am currently looking at the internet with a very old Dell Vostro (dating from 2010) and the processor is an Intel Core2 Duo T6520 CPU 2.10 GHz and has 5 websites open and several more programs running in the background. CPU usage is 20%. Think about it, there must be something very wrong with your computer. I forgot my Windows is Windows 10 19044.1566 Pro. Administrator Solution Matt Posted February 22, 2022 Administrator Solution Share Posted February 22, 2022 @boristhegrey First of all watch your language please. In this case we do provide different themes for CPU such as yours. Scroll down to the footer, and you will see Themes. Just pick one that suits your reading. boristhegrey
yep. switching the theme to IPS Default solved the problem ! now 0% activity when reading ! @Matt Fix this, make IPS Default as THE Default theme for everybody, as probably most people quit using nsaneforums due of high cpu usage just because of the Theme thing. Not everyone knows abut theme, i didn't knew about it till now when you told me! Edited February 22, 2022 by boristhegrey
Threepwood
My old Thinkpad T530 has an i7-3520M CPU and 16GB RAM. My browser: SRWare Iron Version 97.0.4950.0 (Official Build) (64-bit). SRWare Iron's task manager shows the following CPU load for this tab: 0% to 1.6% I'm using the "IPS Default" theme. Maybe you could visit the site with a different browser like Mozilla Firefox? Edited February 22, 2022 by Threepwood
Administrator Matt Posted February 22, 2022 Administrator Share Posted February 22, 2022 @boristhegrey In this case, there isn't anything to correct. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but no one has left the site as a result of this. Moreover, the majority of the members are familiar with the themes. I am glad that your issue has been resolved. DLord
I did experience the same issue last year. Switching to IPS Default theme also solved the problem. 14 minutes ago, Threepwood said: Maybe you could visit the site with a different browser like Mozilla Firefox? Same issue with FireFox as well. Israeli_Eagle
If you might have enabled hardware acceleration... Make sure that the real hardware (GPU) exists!
7even
I also had the same problem since this forum changed to this new so called 'modern' theme. Tried with a few different browsers with the same result so I guess it has something to do with the new theme being unkind with very old hardware. Anyway using the default IPS theme as mentioned above seems to be working so far!
