Administrator DKT27 Posted March 16, 2010 Administrator Share Posted March 16, 2010 Funny. But I cannot find any links to avastindia.com on avast's homepage. Can you confirm that the site is legit? As I can easily buy Avast products from Avast's official homepage, in Indian Rupees.

majithia23
AvastIndia Funny. But I cannot find any links to avastindia.com on avast's homepage. Can you confirm that the site is legit? As I can easily buy Avast products from Avast's official homepage, in Indian Rupees.dont know dkt .i cant confirm whether its legit or not , could be a phish attack , but i doubt it would have then opened in FF. WOT reports it as green ...try AvastIndia.manpe could be right ,McAfee sensing some serious survival competition ,trying to dither some foolish customers ....dont know , could be a fake advertisement , ( but the address of authorized dealer is there ...)or some cheap gimmick by McAfee .( no wonder when mininova was around at its peak , McAfee reported it to be used with extreme caution i.e. red . even after public comments numbering in 100's, challenging the red for mininova , McAfee dint revert it back .and when many other cheap torrent sites were reported as green !)
Administrator DKT27 Posted March 16, 2010 Administrator Share Posted March 16, 2010 The more I search about this site. The more it makes me feel it's fake or a third party unoffcial website. It's flaged red because it's connected to wedowebsitepromotion.com. Why will Avast! need to promote or make it's India when it's doing a great job on it's homepage? Is there any other country website mentioned in avast homepage? No.About mininova. I did come to know that it was flagged red when they were putting phishing and adult ads, mostly fake, on the site(mininova).

Administrator DKT27 Posted March 16, 2010 Administrator Share Posted March 16, 2010 Professional scammers. At least half of professionals. Have hidden their information for whois by some whois hider service. And please note that official Avast site isn't using whois hider service. No use of posting in it jokes and funny section. :tooth:
