ezellohar
I've installed Windows 11 on a Laptop, a Lenovo Yoga 730-13IWL, with a intel serie 8000 i5. After the switch from windows 10, I'm experiencing a quite annoying issue: PC won't go to sleep by time. The installation is a genuine clean one, made with the MS media creation tool. On windows 10, it always worked as intended. Any hint on what could cause the problem?

vitorio
“In general, you shouldn't need to update your BIOS that often. Installing (or "flashing") a new BIOS is more dangerous than updating a simple Windows program, and if something goes wrong during the process, you could end up bricking your computer. I don't mean to be all doom-and-gloom about it.” Edited January 30, 2022 by vitorio
ezellohar
Bios is already updated to the last version (not that Lenovo did a lot of them for this series at all)
Israeli_Eagle
Well..... Sadly Windows 11 is still Beta level, maybe at year 2024 might become near of stable. But that is quite normal of new major versions.
Administrator DKT27 Posted January 30, 2022 Administrator Share Posted January 30, 2022 I would check the graphics drivers there. ezellohar
Kalju
I have already said this, it must be a local problem. Personally, I'm a test user and I've specifically researched this issue, but unfortunately I haven't found anything related to Windows 11. There must be a configuration problem or a driver problem or whatever. And there is no way to guess at a distance or figure out what that particular reason is. Only this computer real user must understand and figure out the real reason. No one else can know or do anything.
ezellohar
Kalju, I understand that, but please keep in mind that on win 10, clean installation without further config or tweaks it works. On win 11, same route, clean installation it doesn't. So ok, you say it must be something local and it could be, but I cannot figure the difference. Maybe a driver behaving differently on win11? Is there some kind of test I can run to help me identify the cause? Please suggest me what diagnostic I should run to find the real reason. @DKT27 I'll try, thanks

Solution ezellohar Posted February 13, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted February 13, 2022 On 1/31/2022 at 12:45 AM, DKT27 said: I would check the graphics drivers there. That did the trick. The drivers version were the same gotten from Win update, but installing the ones from manufacturer's site, fixed the problem. Thanks for the hint.
