Which one of these laptop would you pick?

or

Your opinions are most welcomed.

I am not a gamer, I dont do any video editing. I just use my laptop for internet browsing, watch movie online but not much, emails and what not.

TIA

In my opinion, there is no way to compare the two (I mean the two in particular, another comparison might have an another opinion) and if I had to choose, it would be DELL without any doubt.
It doesn't mean, I'm against Lenovo, but as I said it is in this case so.

From my point of view, you must avoid Dell.

Because a lot a people has been deceive (by the support, the website, etc) and you can't find a better product (at the same or lowest price).

By the way, I won't recommend MSI too because you can't trust them sic...

Despite the legal warranty, they can refuse to repair the PC (cheap components which can be easily broken).

Contrary to you, I can say that there have never been any problems with the website or the service. Also support assistant recommends always update firmware, if there is any update available etc.
I have now and have had before many Dell's.
One year ago, a week before the end of the warranty period, one had a problem with the processor, which of course was not their fault. However, the entire motherboard was replaced without any comments and/or claims. A new one-year warranty was also given. All software is always available on homepage, all BIOS updates are done automatically if You want, etc. It all is for free.
So I can't imagine better service.
(Before it or the first warranty was 3 years).

I don't know what else should want or about what should complain.

I'm late to this discussion, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Framework laptop.  You can even buy it as a kit.  All the components are user replaceable and upgradeable.  Even Dell and Apple have expressed interest in this type of laptop. Could be the last laptop you ever need to buy.

Lenovo memory layout 4GB soldered + 16 GB in expandable slot means 2x4 dual channel vs Dell 2x8 GB dual channel.

You are missing a Gigabit Ethernet. You are missing Thunderbolt and higher bandwidth IO ports.

Intel 11th gen CPU support AV1 hardware decoding AMD Ryzen 5500U not.

More CPU cores only benefits if the applications designed for it.

Dell Wifi 6 AX vs Lenovo Wifi 5 AC.

You did choose the wrong laptop.

Lenovo used to make good laptops. Now there are not so good. Looks cheap and plastic. Now definitely I would buy Dell.

HP vs Lenovo – Which Brand is Best?

Lenovo is the better choice of the two brands if you’re looking for the best value for money option, and they dominate the market for work and business laptops. However, HP laptops typically have better quality components, but they cost more than the Lenovo equivalent.

Did I misunderstand that on December 26, the post author announced that he had purchased Lenovo?
If so, why these tips recommendations continues, now about half a year later?

In the old days, when a problem was solved, the topic was closed or at least it was stated that the problem was solved.
Is this rule no longer valid?

Tips can be for his next buy so he would be wiser next time. Yes this topic ended with wrong buy but thats what the author wanted and its not our problem anymore.
