Online watching youtube does not function anymore in PowerDVD 21

Online watching youtube does not function anymore in PowerDVD 21 .

Did anyone noticed this also , or is this problem only in Europe........   :coolwink:

You can still watch youtubes by "pinning " ( downloading) them , not anymore straight from browser in the PowerDVD -program.

If you try , the movie might start for a very short time , then it will freeze .............it goes further when clicking on "play"again , for seconds .............

Any solution would be very welcome and appreciated !!

@Pete 12As this issue is not new and been experienced in many versions like the earlier report by you on PowerDVD 21(noted by Moderator & temporarily fixed) & previously for PowerDVD 19. This should be YouTube issue like API changes and not yours. It should be fixed soon as said by an user QC2.0 in that page. However, if this is due to EU ban/restrictions, then you need to wait or use VPNs.

Battle Scenario: CyberLink Fixes, YouTube Breaks!

Since this is a long & repetitive battle btw CyberLink & YouTube, it is better to look for reliable alternatives.

" This should be YouTube issue like API changes "..............yes, thought so also .

Its a very annoying problem , which occurs several times in each version of PDVD, only solution seems to be ; just waiting ( ?!)

Discovered a very nice alternative ; Media Player Classic , with a special file from Github , called ; yl-dlp .

MPC had the same youtube -problem , with this file it works like a charm again !!

Its not suitable for PDVD .

Meanwhile will search for a solution , which works like the MPC...............:coolwink:

You shall ask for a similar solution from CyberLink(quote the moderator and Ref the same MPC fix). They might do some modifications & release a permanent fix.

I have tested now and you are right, I get the exact same result. It plays for a second, then stops and start buffering and so on...

I also tested with US IP number but it was no difference. So this problem doesn't seem to be related only to European users, it affects everybody. I guess we must wait until Cyberlink release a patch or fix for this problem to get YT videos working correct again.

Yes , while waiting for the solution ( CyberLink) we can use the MPC , with the working file , for watching youtube online...........

Or just downloading ( " pinning") the yt-files , and playing them with PDVD............:coolwink:

So still no working full version at the moment ?

No, still no fix for Youtube playback. It's very bad that such a big company like Cyberlink still haven't fixed the problem after a month. :sadwalk:

Reported by many people already , on the CL-site ...........still no solution , looks like they are completely ignoring the problem !     :moon:

Its not a cheap program , they promise a lot of features ............after installing , its a big desillusion !!    :wtf:

It seems YouTube screwed it up big time for all external players, since a few weeks ago I started noticing the very same issue (video freezes/jerky playback, while audio keeps playing fine), but when using PotPlayer.

And it is the same with other players, like "SMPlayer" and "Zoom Player". I bet they simply fed up with keep loosing revenues from ads-free players. :glare:
