NOD32 V4 Stopped updating (Requests name and password) - mara fix not work anymore??

Hello friends❤️
I'm new here
I have been using NOD32 V4 for many years on purpose
This is the best version for me (lighter and does not use resources and does a good job)

i use mara fix 1.5 And I never had a problem
For many years I received updates without a problem
but Suddenly today it Stopped updating (Requests name and password)

Is there a new version mara?
Is there a new fix?
what can we do ?

Most probably the servers ended support finally for ancient software, we live now at year 2021 and ESET NOD32 v14 already quite long time. :whistle:

As I know @mara- project is no more developed from long time, so, you need an official license or a different solution. Take a look to the related thread too

EDIT: I know it's expensive, sometimes, but, if you are not a very skilled user with specific needs, it's never recommended using old Systems too. If you already haven't done it, it's time to migrate to Windows 10 (Windows 11 will be available soon), it's fully featured (eg. integrated free forever AV), more secure and stable, well supported and fully customizable (eg, telemetry, impact on hardware, privacy, etc.)

WARNING !!!

 

Old versions are not recommended and they not create new versions just because bored.
Actually already any modern MS Defender would be safer which is for free anyway.

Don't put unnecessary and outdated programs on your computer.

They don't work anyway on our days, they are only one useless relict of previous century.

No need to fool yourself!

The best solution, if already installed, is one good uninstaller.

  • Use one of the many available fixes, at your own risk (the AV could not work as expected creating new problems)

obs:- after having installed ESS 8.0.319.0, disable protection and firewall and only then you must unrar the Fix, otherwise it will disappear.

Another thing :- To uninstall previous eset it has to be done in "Safe Mode"  ( use "msconfig" to enter in safe mode ).

Mine is Windows 10 x64

You shall always use protection since most of the time your pc will be connected to the internet.
Switching to Linux and especially Mac to avoid using an antivirus/ security solutions is a myth! You will always be exposed when online!

Good modern AV and VPN are the best team nowadays, tho they're not for free because servers and developers not grow on trees. And also some minimal knowledge does help too. :coolwink:

this is based on @coua's fix.
Still not recommended to use a retired version of a security solution.
Virus protection may be guaranteed to some extend but cannot deal with issues caused by OS updates especially on windows.
Cause no module gets updated to fix compatibility issues

Virus signature stopped updating since yesterday (Oct 5th 2022)... Anyone else noticed/experienced the same?
