tm13
For Adobe Acrobat DC there is this TNT Patch. Does this have to be executed again with every new update ? Edited September 4, 2021 by tm13
Neuromancer
macOS! 😘 Every Single AcobatDC Version needs a new Patch. TNT is the Group, the Patch has the Name "Zii". Newest example: Adobe_Acrobat DC 21.005.20058 TNT] needs Adobe Zii 2021 6.1.5. tm13 and rasbridge
tm13
Have now noticed the following problem. Installed was Adobe Acrobat DC 21.005.20058 and AdobeZii Patch 6.1.5. Now there is an Adobe update 21.007.20091. This update is executed automatically. The problem is that after the patch you can not disable the update in the settings and before the patch you can not do any settings in Adobe, because you would have to register first. Does anyone know a way to turn off this automatic update ? Does anyone have a solution to this ?
Neuromancer
3 Options: Acrobat DC disable automatic updates Terminal: sudo chmod -x /Applications/Adobe\ Acrobat\ DC/Adobe\ Acrobat.app/Contents/Helpers/AdobeResourceSynchronizer.app/Contents/MacOS/AdobeResourceSynchronizer of: After installation and before applying the zii patch, you must launch Acrobat and immediately press "cmd +," (command and comma, at the same time). This command opens the Acrobat preferences and allows you to disable the auto updates. Then apply the zii. There’s no reason to block anything. EVER. The one single exception would be using Little Snitch to block outgoing connections to Library/Application Support/Adobe/ARMDC/Application/Acrobat Update Helper.app/Contents/MacOS/Acrobat Update Helper of (my personal favourite, a bit radical, but it works): Right-click Adobe Acrobat.app, go to "Contents" -> "Plugins" and delete Updater.acroplugin. tm13
tm13
If I delete the PlugIn, the manual update also no longer works for me. During the installation process, the update no longer finds an existing version. The best method for me is to deactivate the automatic update in the settings after the installation. This setting remains even after an update.
tm13
Does anyone know if the Adobe Zii project is still running ? The last version 6.1.7 is 2 months old..... Version 6.1.8 was announced, but until today nowhere to be found. Edited December 3, 2021 by tm13
