tipo
Hey guys! could someone help me with an info about how to play/watch .dem files? .dem files are the demo videos from counter strike. It’s not working to view the files from my c.s. 1.6 console, don’t kno why. I’ve googled alot last night and couldn’t find anything. If there are any .dem players could you guide me to one? thanks in advance!

anakin206
Try this Quote To play a Counter-Strike DEM file on Windows, first place it in the cstrike \ installation directory. Then start Counter-Strike and open the console window. From the console window, type viewdemo demoname, where "demoname" is the name of the file without the ".dem" extension. DEM files created by Source engine games, such as Counter-Strike, can be opened in VirtualDub to play the sequenced video frame and record it in other output formats, such as .AVI. There is a 2GB size limitation for AVI videos created by Valve's source engine. You can install the Apple QuickTime component to encode the .H264 codec to avoid the size limitation.
