[Win10] HWIDGEN fails due to time out... anyone see this before?

I'm trying to activate Windows 10 Professional x64 (2004 build). It's a VMware machine running on a hypervisor (a VPS), and I couldn't find whether or not HWIDGEN works or not in that situation.

This is the error I get:

The log indicates a time out error:

This error (800705B4 - timeout) appears to be coming from the Windows Update service.

Anyone seen anything like this and solved it?
