Bizarre™
This is a cumulative update for the latest version of the K-Lite (Mega) Codec Pack. K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. This Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. You should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats.Download
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 23, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 23, 2010 Thanx for the update. :)Well I'm a bit of a n00b in K-Lite. Can anyone tell me what sort of codec/filter is used when playing mp3 files? When I play videos I see ffdshow tray icon. Is it possible to see that and use that ffdshow's settings when playing mp3s? Administrator DKT27 Posted February 24, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 24, 2010 Thanx waka see read below helped me a lot.Well I found a VP6 codec installed a year ago. Uninstalled it but no go.And I forgot to mention one big thing, I use WMP 11. :oNow WMP seems to use it's own codec on mp3 files. That's why no ffdshow. I used Media Play Classic and here I am ffdshow works with it.Also see this. Now I've decided to switch to Media Play Classic. How is it compared to WMP and does it contain more themes? WaKa WaKa
And I forgot to mention one big thing, I use WMP 11. :oThats the problem.... WMP "Media player classic Home Cinema" is ugly and dont have themes... but have a lot of features and configurations.I love it  Like Biz said before: In ffdshow audio decoder configuration, on the codecs page, set "Uncompressed" to "All supported". Then ffdshow will be loaded during playback and will process the decoded audio.I dont know if it works... but you can try.I recomend Winamp or AIMP for mp3, ogg, aac (almost all the audio)And K-lite + Media Player Classic Home Cinema for video.
