jalaffa
<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/Chrome.png" class="logo" alt="Google Chrome" title="Google Chrome" />Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. Google Chrome also uses a brand new javascript engine (V8), which is much faster than existing javascript interpreters. This means you can create more complex and more intensive AJAX applications with fewer speed and processing constraints. Finally, Google Chrome is built on top of WebKit, so Google Chrome users will benefit from the CSS3 features being added to WebKit as those features are released.<a href="http://www.nsanedown.com/?request=14176305" target="_blank">Download</a>
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 6, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 6, 2010 I don't know how many guys are facing this problem here but it's noted on whole net. Installer of stable or beta or dev doesn't start even when clicking a thousand times. Nor does it update directly. I'm having the same problem. And at last I've found a fix for the problem. If you are having the problem do this.Fully disable your AV, Firewall, HIPS, or any other security software you are using. Then start the installer, it would work without any problems. Now you can enable all of them. No problems during surfing.I don't understand this problem. There's some problem in Google chrome that no security program is able to allow chrome's installer to start and google guys are paying deaf ear to it. The problem is there right from the version 1. I wonder when will google do something on it.

Administrator DKT27 Posted February 6, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 6, 2010 The problem is known to be there right from the version 1. Now you count who is fast in fixing.

marshall39
I have the same problem than you DKT27 and the only way I've found to install a new version is to remove the previous one before...otherwise no way you can click to execute nothing happens
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 6, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 6, 2010 Yes I did forget to mention that. Uninstalling the previous version is also a solution. ;)But hey try what I mentioned in the last post.
Night Owl
Thanks for the update. There seem to be some issues with this release: Google Chrome 5.0.317.2 Dev commentspin tabsextremely annoying translate popups on every single pagebank websites don't work@DKT27: Google Chrome's usual Web-based install integrates GoogleUpdate.exe so Google Chrome is always updated automatically. I guess that's why Google hasn't bothered fixing the problem yet. I use the self-contained installer available from nsane.down (that does NOT have GoogleUpdate.exe) and I've been uninstalling an older version before installing a new version (so I haven't seen the problem you mentioned). Administrator DKT27 Posted February 6, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 6, 2010 See my first post on this topic again. Google doesn't even update from GoogleUpdate.exe because of this problem. And the problem stays on the effected(or whatever you may call it) user's computer even after you have reinstalled it once. Night Owl
I have not seen the problem on two PCs and three OSes: Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
