Weird, after installing this update, it seems to have reset all my settings back to default.
Unsure if that happened to anyone else.
EDIT:
Or has it been this way for a long time and I haven't noticed? I only noticed because after installing the Notification Tray Icon appeared and I've always had it disabled.

i don't think my settings have ever been stored, as i always have to resize my desktop (as the taskbar is missing) on a new update.

 

also, there was a bug for some users that the notification tray icon was missing, maybe they've decided to fix it...
