Too many questions. :P

Are free is good. Consider that Pro doesn't even exists. No fixes for it.

Well I'm telling you, you don't need help. Just go for it by yourself. ;)

My combo is Comodo for the firewall, Eset AV for the AV, MalwareBytes for daily quick scan and malware removal.

I don't use the AV module of CIS, it sucks... big time

Neither do I. Prefer Eset for that.

I like Comodo over all but wish there was one program that was really highly rated.....Got hit with one of the viruses that pretend to be spyware protection,. (Yeah Right) Evil if you ask me. Was able to reformat two puters and put in Comodo. The Third one you have to do a system recovery then you can use it for awhile. Turn it off and nave to redo the same process again. Tim

You should scan with Malwarebytes (w. updated database) if you haven't already and see if it can remove the malware. I have found it to be very successful in most cases. If the malware is very smart, you may have to rename the MBAM executable to something like e.g., "Tool.exe" to get it to install past the malware's defense mechanisms.
