jalaffa
It takes some time before it is officially announced. That's all. The links given are for the final version.Edit:I've noticed now that if you change the links given for the downloads on the homepage a bit 1.03 to 1.05 you get the 1.05 from the various mirrors they provide for download :D Take this for an example:http://mirror.netcologne.de/videolan.org/vlc/1.0.5/win32/vlc-1.0.5-win32.exevlc media player 1.0.4 was only made available for Linux I think - ravisoorya
KotaXor
I use to have this....but after using K-lite codec, still sticking with Windows Media Player for Windows 7.The interface for Media Player in Windows 7 look awesome. Thanks to know of this updates though, my office XP need this.
chlorophyll
thanks for da info jalaffa@KotaXor windows media player is good.i agree with u.i rarely use vlc.but my best choice is bsplayer pro.due to its digital picture clarity when compared to vlc and wmplayer.for eg:if u compare aspect ratio 16:9 quality bsplayer gives da best quality when compared to others.vlc lose its quality here especially in case of ".dat" video files.anybody can correct me if i was wrong:blink:

InEvX
Hahaha, VLC made my Kaspersky angry.Kaspersky found: "Trojan.Win32.Monder.gen" in "plugins/libi422_yuy2_sse2_plugin.ddl"Kaspersky reminded me of Avira, due to the false positives.Anyways, thanks for the file :)

InEvX
hahah I know!! I always have high expectation for Kaspersky, but this false positive was just fail.I don't know if the heuristics caught this or the behavior blocker, but nonetheless false positives are just a way for your anti-virus to get a little attention.

InEvX
Both are great anti-virus programs. I Just prefer KIS 2010 over anything out there due to all the features. Kaspersky with application control set to "untrusted", is probably the best security you're going to get. Avira is great at detecting viruses, but it relies too much on heuristics. When heuristics fail, then you're pretty much screwed.Kaspersky uses heuristics, behavior and HIPS to detect/stop viruses etc.Nonetheless, there's plenty of flavors out there to choose from. Avira, Norton and Kaspersky are my favorite.
