NEW YORK (NEXSTAR/WPRI) — Pfizer announced Monday the launch of a coronavirus immunization pilot program involving four states to help with planning vaccine delivery and deployment.

This handout photo taken in Oct. 2020 and provided by Pfizer shows part of a “freezer farm,” a football field-sized facility for storing finished COVID-19 vaccines, in Puurs, Belgium. Pfizer’s experimental vaccine requires ultra-cold storage and are being stored in special freezers until approval and distribution. Pfizer Inc.

The four states, which include Rhode Island, Texas, New Mexico and Tennessee, were chosen for the U.S. COVID-19 Immunization Pilot Program because of their differences in size, population and immunization infrastructure.

Though the states were chosen to help refine a plan for the delivery, deployment and administration of Pfizer’s vaccine candidate, they will not receive the vaccine earlier than other states, the pharmaceutical company said.

“This pilot program and our collaboration with U.S. and state officials will help us prepare for broader vaccine deployment in the near future, subject to authorization or approval, as we work to address this urgent public health need,” Angela Hwang, Group President, Pfizer Bio Group President, Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group, said in a statement.

The vaccine must be stored at ultra-cold temperatures of minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit, presenting a distribution challenge.

The company said it will take what it learns in the pilot program and adapt it to other states across the country.

“We are hopeful that results from this vaccine delivery pilot will serve as the model for other U.S. states and international governments, as they prepare to implement effective COVID-19 vaccine programs,” Hwang said.

The company is on track to apply later this month for emergency-use approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

In July, Pfizer and BioNTech announced an agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense to start the delivery of 300 million vaccine doses in 2021.

I'm still waiting for one question to be asked by a journalist or reporter, and clearly answered:-

When the vaccine is finally ready to be widely used, will vaccination be voluntary or compulsory?

I haven't heard a single TV reporter asking this question...and it's a very important one!!:dunno::dunno::dunno:

I'm not a conspiracy nut, but I think this is something that we should know in advance, bearing in mind

that governments/politicians will always take advantage of any opportunity and a mass vaccination gives

them a once in a lifetime opportunity to.......??????

Well if you read the post i posted there  going to  ask for the go ahead  in the USA  some time in the next few days to pass out it to high  risk subjects . As far as  outside North America  Biotech  Pfizer's  partner in Germany  will be doing that  and there talking to to the EU  about it now.  Health officials say  it could take  more than a year to distribute enough doses for the U.S. and the rest of the world to achieve so-called herd immunity and suppress the virus.  The more people who get  the shots the  less  chance  there is catching it .

So  you  need  to not let your guard  down  ware your mask and wash your hands a lot  and try to stay away from others as much as possible  for now  . As far as being mandatory in the USA  it is for kids to go to School  they have to have  all there shots  . Work places could not hire  you unless  you have record of taking these shots.

steven36, I really did read your post and I have been keeping up with all the latest news about the vaccine(s) and who will be given priority to be vaccinated first.

But that doesn't address my question. Do you really believe that everyone in every country will agree to be vaccinated? So my point is, what will be the response of government(s)?

Will those who refuse to be vaccinated be forcibly vaccinated? Arrested? It's a pertinent question.:dunno::dunno::dunno:

No i doubt they will go to jail   but  still if they don't take  it the country will still reach herd immunity against COVID-19. But  the reason  Anti Vaxers exist is because vaccines have almost wiped out certain  things like the  measles  and they never seen how dangerous  it is. But COVID-19 is different it  is new  and people have seen 1st hand what it will do so there going  to be more willing to be vaccinated.

Opportunity to inject a tag/µchip/etc.?

Sounds like hard to do; would need to inject the vaccine to everybody at the same time, would need to keep vaccines away from agencies/individuals who can check what is inside the solution, etc.

On the other hand, it could be done on a small scale, a special stock of vaccines for targeted people... But do one has to be tagged in order to be spied on?

For those who don't accept to receive the vaccine, it likely depends on which country those people are living in.

About chips into the vaccine, don't worry that is unnecessary, no government needs to put a chip inside us, the cell phone is enough to watch, listen and keep track of everybody.

There is no chips  inside the vaccine to track people  they will be on the outside of the syringe to just track  when you took it . You need to cancel Facebook and TicTok  and DDG  your news instead .:lmao:
