Famous Anti Adblock script NANO-DEFENDER discontinued. Any other replacement ?

Hey Pals,

The popular and much needed Anti Adblock detection extension NANO-DEFENDER which worked with UBlockOrigin and Nano adblocker

has been discontinued by it's author.

The guy is looking for other developers to take over the project but till now nothing substantial has come up. Till then

is there any other similar script around ? Reek was discontinued much before. Please someone suggest some good alternatives.

Thanks.

Just use uBlock Origin (if you want, the Dev-Build version), it's very fast :)

My browser even feel faster when I delete everything about Nano Adblocker/Defender. That sh1t was really dangerous.

@Gyro21 You are right but you always need an anti adblock detector extension/script to help you with certain websites

detecting your adblock (UblockOrigin etc) and won't let you proceed. In that case such extensions come handy. That's what

I am looking for when that Nano project's gone.

Isn't Ublock Origin Extra does the job as well??

uBlock Origin Extra was renamed to Nano Defender some years ago.

Dear bros, uBlock does it job really really well, it has an "anti-anti-adblocker" inside, just select your main language filter and all the other filters. You really don't need Nano anymore. :)

I know it's a lot to read (I did it) but in short: Uninstall Nano inmediately and just use uBlock

@sandy4fun34 try this:

-->check the option "Disable cosmetic filtering" under the "Default behavior" header

I'm able to bypass ad. block detectors without any help from Nano Defender . . . if one has the knowledge to create the required bypass rules, it is not required. 😉

This works, I checked but in that case I see some ads (quite few). Is there any workaround to disable the ads while

bypassing adblock detection ?

I'm pretty sure you meant to say uBlock Protector which was indeed renamed to Nano Defender some time ago.

Important: As of October 20, 2020, uBO-Extra is discontinued and is no longer present in the Chrome Web store. Instart Logic's anti-user agent technology appears to have gone away and consequently the extension has become useless, as its main purpose was to foil Instart Logic's 3rd parties obfuscation technology.

To answer OP's question: There is no successor of the now-defunct Nano Defender (for Chrome) yet. The Firefox version of Nano Defender which is maintained by LiCybora ( https://github.com/LiCybora/NanoDefenderFirefox ) is still available as it was not sold by jspenguin. So if you really depend on Nano Defender on some of the sites you visit (as it do), I'd recommend to install Firefox and use LiCybora's Nano Defender.

"...

uninstall Nano Adblocker and Nano Defender as soon as possible, then install uBlock Origin as a replacement.

Nano Defender serves the purpose of evading anti-adblock scripts. There are other uBlock Origin-compatible lists which achieve the same thing:

Yes, along with this one:

Try it, it won't bite, it's just a list! If you don't like it you can easily remove it!

The best Adblock still is and was AdGuard.

It blocks Ads, Spyware, Anti-Adblock, Cookie Pop-ups.

Make sure to subscribe "AdGuard Annoyance filters"

Maybe. Honestly I didn't measure myself, but AG is also running great on my 10 years old ThinkPad with i7-620LM CPU.
