Karlston Posted September 29, 2020 Share Posted September 29, 2020 Google brings dark theme support for Docs, Sheets, and Slides on iOS Google today announced that dark theme is rolling out to Docs, Sheets, and Slides on iOS. Today's release comes two months after dark mode arrived on those apps on Android. Like its Android counterpart, the feature will automatically respect the iOS settings. However, if you prefer not to enable it, you can disable dark mode by heading over to the menu settings and then choosing the theme section. The new look is available to all G Suite users with either personal or enterprise Google accounts, provided they have the latest version of Docs, Sheets, and Slides installed. While the feature automatically obeys the system settings in iOS, you can also manually enable it by opening Google's productivity apps, tapping on the menu, and opening the settings. From there, you can go to Theme and then select dark mode. In addition, you can tap on the three-dot menu and then choose "View in light theme" in order to see how your document will look in light mode to tailor content for either theme. This feature is available from today, and it's a welcome change for those who prefer to see these apps in a less eye-straining view in dim-lit conditions.
