Flashrouter - internet connection

Recommended Posts

I have a Flashrouter, Linksys3200acm with ExpressVPN preinstalled by Flashrouter personnel, which works excellent.

Recently I decided not to renew my annual paid ExpressVPN service. Since the day the service is not available I have been unable to connect to internet.

My router is piggyback to my ISP provider.

Is there a way to fix this issue, please. Thanks for your help.

According to ExpressVPN web site all devices use the VPN by default. You can change the connection type. Here's the tutorial to manage them:

How to manage devices connected to an ExpressVPN router

Hope it's the right info...

You are correct as long as I have an account active with ExpressVpn. Just recently cancelled my annual subcriptions to that service.

I think that what I am looking for is to know if I need to change anything in the flashrouter installed app which is not longer have an active VPN account, so I can connect to the internet.

Thanks for the info.

as far as i know with expressvpn FW installed you can't use it without proper subscription enabled

try to disable the policy based routing(PBR) & killswitch on your router if enabled then try again connect to the internet

better solution remove expresspn FW and get back to the latest stock firmware then install any other custom FW which don't have such restrictions . popular custom FW are dd-wrt, openwrt etc

how to revert/reset

a simple guide from expressvpn https://www.expressvpn.com/support/troubleshooting/reset-original-firmware/

contact flashrouter website & linksys forum they surely help & guide you

dd-wrt marvel forum (here you will get advanced intsructions/help & everything related with flashing a linksys devices) https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=58

https://community.linksys.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/How-to-revert-DDWRT-LinkSys-3200ACM-to-stock-firmware/td-p/1317484/page/2

https://forum.openwrt.org/t/revert-to-stock-firmware-linksys-wrt3200acm/3587/3

its hard to brick linksys devices as it has an additional backup partition of stock firmware

better read the guide & contact their support before you try to flash the router

note: flashing may brick your router. Use at your own risk
