The user can select audio content (e.g. music, movie, game or voice content) and then choose from many presets (i.e. rock music, classical, jazz, country, etc) to dial in amazing sound tailored for any speaker configuration - headphones, stereo speakers, surround speakers. Based on the content being played, the preferred SRS Labs patented technology will be selected. Users can further personalize the sound through the use of advanced controls which provide deep, rich bass, restore the clarity to vocal and high frequency sounds, provide 3D enhancement for stereo and mono content and more.

Yay, another update, maybe this one finally solves the sound 'hissing' problem I'm experiencing... (I even uninstalled the previous version because it was hissing all the time)

Thanks jalaf :)

I compared the files, but they got the same hash.

Which files? The main executables? The hash of the setups are not equal.

Edit:

k3vtd2.jpg vs. 2va1ugg.jpg

The exe and dll files have the exact same size, but do differ. Not much has been changed though I guess.

The last release didn't work with every computer (ie Mine0 cause I didn't have the right type of software. Did they fix the problem?

Thanks for the update.

;Thanks again.

Do you mean DSP Bridge?

Wikipedia:

Due to difference in Foobar and Winamp architecture (Foobar has floating point audio chunks, while Winamp has fixed point ones), floating point to fixed point conversion (and vice versa) is necessary.

Conversion Bit-depth parameter can be set to:

* 16-bit: low quality, failsafe. Choose this setting, if you encounter a problem while playback;

* 24-bit: hi-quality;

* 32-bit: highest quality.

Foo_dsp_winamp converter has built-in limiter to avoid audio signal clipping. Limiter is non-bypassing (i.e. always on), so if you want to keep signal spectrum close to its original, you should use Replay Gain subsystem.

i use winamp as the main player here , the dsp plugin doesnt work on foobar ver 1 so i stay with previous version atm till they developed a new one :)

I think this for using Winamp DSP Plugins from Winamp version 2 stuff.. because of the difference in usage between Foo and Win.. which disallows the usage of various Winamp plugins with Foobar .. properly.. and I really am not for sure, I don't even use FooBar.. just know how to use the search engine.. So.. :dunno:

Does anyone know how this might compare to Breakaway Audio Enhancer? I've been hooked on Breakaway but may move on if the pastures are greener. :)

Hi!

Anyone knows about Breakaway enhancer and his recent version, 1.30.02? It's similar application and I think, it does it's job even better :) Is there any cure for this version?

No, I use old version, 1.20, which even runs on Win 7 x64, though it shouldn't, and I didn't notice CPU eating.

But In Win XP (and in Win7, too) for gaming purposes it's better to turn it off (or hard bypass).

Yup, I used this, and it works (v1.20), like I said, in Win7 X64, seriously :)

I'll have a look at it, Breakaway Enhancer...

Edit: I like it... Extensive interface, many settings to play around with, great initial setup guide. No fix found yet, will be on the lookout ;)

About BreakAway Audio Enhancer only know there is a patch for v.1.20.12 ( not compatible with Win7 ),and cracked by SND Team, easy to find using Google Search.

Cheers

Jofre

PS: Audio SandBox is more than enough for me. If enabled you hear a better sound even on Foobar (and other audio/media players)

Ya, SRS Audio Sandbox sounded pretty good with my mp3s played through Winamp but when I went to watch a movie with AC3 soundtrack I got no AC3 passthrough my Realtek HD audio card to my receiver. Even disabling SRS Audio had no effect. Had to uninstall it it to get AC3 to work again.
