marshall39
Hi,I use chrome 4 beta (because I need the LastPass extension) and from time to time when I open a page, very often on our beloved Nsane,I get something like this:H\nError description:\n";if(YZzWAw){YZzWZ="An error occurred when executing the JavaScript filters that Ad Muncher is currently configured to use.\n\nIf you have added your own \"Add JavaScript to all pages\" filters, please check their syntax, if you have not, please contact Ad Muncher technical support.\n\nError description:\n"}if(typeof YZzWgU=="string"){YZzWZ+=YZzWgU}else if(typeof YZzWgU=="object"){YZzWZ+=YZzWgU.message.substring(0,1024);}else{YZzWZ+="N/A"}if(typeof YZzWBQ=="string"){YZzWZ+="\n\nError section: "+YZzWBQ}if(typeof YZzWSX!='undefined'){YZzWSX(YZzWZ)}else{alert(YZzWZ)}}return true}if(self.YZzWcA!=1){window.onerror=YZzWAH}/**//**/try{function YZzWcQ(YZzWh,YZzWLy){if(YZzWh.length>YZzWLy){YZzWh=YZzWh.substring(0,YZzWLy-3)+"..."}return YZzWh}function YZzWhS(YZzWh,YZzWoj,YZzWAo){while(YZzWh.indexOf(YZzWoj)!=-1){YZzWh=YZzWh.replace(YZzWoj,YZzWAo)}return YZzWh}function YZzWWp(YZzWh,YZzWQU){var YZzWod=YZzWh.indexOf(YZzWQU);if(YZzWod!=-1){return YZzWh.substring(0,YZzWod)}return YZzWh}function YZzWKP(YZzWh,YZzWEo,YZzWyV){var YZzWSA=YZzWh.indexOf(YZzWEo);i And the whole page is like that.I use AdMuncher and I can see the text is telling something about it,but I don't see what it is about I've tried the same page with AdMuncher disabled, and still the same...Also with Chrome 3 stable no problem.Any idea to fix that?Cheers

marshall39
No actually,I have to come back the problem is still there, while the main page of Nsane works without trouble,I can't open any link to the forum sections,I have only a page with a big (but really big!) text.I have to write this with firefox.....Do you know a way to fix that?maybe in chrome settings or something?Cheers
HX1
Did you make sure you dumped your cache? I am using SRWare Iron 4 with no problems.. AdSweeper and CoolIris Extensions..with no problems.. Maybe it is a bug between AdMuncher and Chromium? I mean basically what I am seeing is script that seems to not be processed almost as if it was left open or something.. and you get the code and not the page.. odd..If AdMuncher has script and flash blocking try turning it off.. maybe even signing off then on again and re-opening.. See if it helps..
marshall39
Ok I've tried to empty chromium cache,it took a little while so I think it was really full, and it seems to be working well now.I hope it will stay this way, thank you for your help mate :)
Administrator DKT27 Posted January 15, 2010 Administrator Share Posted January 15, 2010 You know, I forgot a big reason I didn't switched to Chrome. I've faced many sites is past and am still facing where I would see the page in codes and nothing else. Similar to your first post. The page would be full of codes of the site and some times in Kanji. How can I understand the error if it's written in Kanji? :unsure:The problem was same before I had installed the new OS 1 year ago and occurs frequently. I guess Chrome doesn't work on all the sites I use.
marshall39
I think it is really a good browser,it is pretty fast, and when I use Firefox man this is so sloooooow to open it! Chrome opens in like 5 seconds, firefox takes a lot.I hope version 4 final will be perfect :)
HX1
This also could have been a problem with the WebKit rendering engine as well.. something throwing an error.. The same effect when you have rendering differences between all of the browsers.. I would be willing to bet that if you had Iron or Chrome now it probably would not have the issue..BUT I would make sure you erased all of the concerning directories to make sure yo get rid of all the remnants.. before a fresh try again..His problem was created because AdMuncher, in an effort to remove something destroyed the code structure.. then his browser kept referencing this cached version of it, even after he turned it off.. which was probably random for a bit. More than likely an improvement in AdMuncher would be the fix needed..
Administrator DKT27 Posted January 15, 2010 Administrator Share Posted January 15, 2010 Well I regularly clean everything from Chrome, bookmarks, cookies, and cache. I've also erased everything from Chrome's installation directory to it's settings directory. :tooth:I haven't used Iron that much that I can say that the problem never occurred in it, but I guess I wont. Night Owl
I use Google Chrome 4.0 Dev Channel with Ad Muncher (v4.8 on Windows 7 and v4.72 on Windows XP) and I don't have any problems at all. Earlier, I used Google Chrome 3.0 Stable on Windows XP (with Ad Muncher v4.72) and I didn't have any problems either. After every browsing session, I always "Empty the cache" and I "Clear data from this period: Everything". Night Owl
@marshall39: Do you have Internet Download Manager installed? Google Chrome didn't give me any errors at all until now, after installing Internet Download Manager (IDM). IDM doesn't provide built-in support for Google Chrome, so I had to check "Use advanced browser integration", reboot my PC, and then check "Google Chrome" under "Integrate IDM into browsers".Now many different Web sites, besides nsane.forums, show me those funny pages with "Ad Muncher" mentioned in them. This didn't happen to me even once before I installed Internet Download Manager. After failing with Google Chrome, if I go to the same Web pages with SRWare Iron, everything works fine. SRWare Iron cannot integrate into Internet Download Manager. And then when I go to those same Web pages again with Google Chrome, I get the failures right away again. Internet Download Manager rebooted my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 PC. Now I don't see the text shown in the original post when using Google Chrome 5.0.335.1 Dev.There is some incompatibility with Internet Download Manager's "Use advanced browser integration" and Ad Muncher. Night Owl
There is some incompatibility with Internet Download Manager's "Use advanced browser integration" and Ad Muncher.Yes, there definitely was some incompatibility with Internet Download Manager 5's "Use advanced browser integration" (required for Google Chrome) and Ad Muncher. I uninstalled IDM 5.19 Build 3, rebooted, and installed IDM 6.01 Build 4 Beta and Google Chrome finally works perfectly with Ad Muncher and Internet Download Manager! :dance2: IDM 6.01's new changes were really needed:NEW! Internet Download Manager v6.01 beta build 4. Fixed compatibility problems with different browsers including Google Chrome. Improved FLV grabber ...@marshall39: Uninstall IDM 5 and then install IDM 6.01 Build 4 Beta and Google Chrome will finally work great!!
