Released under the brand’s Redmi lineup, the gaming laptop was announced earlier today, alongside the RedmiBook Air 13. Aesthetically, the Redmi G Gaming sports a matte all-black design that is complemented by carefully placed, slick lines on the back. Flip it open and you’re greeted with a full-size keyboard and relatively large trackpad. As for the display, regardless of the variant, all models of the laptop can be equipped with a Full HD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. Speaking of variants, it seems that the Redmi G Gaming laptops has a total of three variants. Beneath the hood, consumers have a choice between a 10th generation Intel Core i5-10200H, Core i5-10300H, and Core i7-10750H for its CPU. 16GB DDR4 RAM running at 2933MHz, up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage, and either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or GTX 1650 Ti. Powering the entire notebook is 55WHr battery that Xiaomi says gives approximately five and half hours of use on a single charge. As for the I/O ports, we’re looking at two USB 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB-C, a mini DisplayPort 1.4 port, HDMI 2.0b, a LAN port, and an Ethernet port. Price-wise, the Redmi G Gaming laptop starts from 5299 Yuan (~RM3197) for the variant with a Core i5-10200H and GTX 1650, 6299 Yuan (~RM3800) for the model with a Core i5-10300H and GTX 1650 Ti, and 6999 Yuan (~RM4223) for the top-tier variant with the Core i71-0750H and GTX 1650 Ti. That time, it was marketed under Mi-series before expanding further by introducing Redmi-series notebooks this year. The earlier notebooks have Win 10 installed, but with Chinese language as they are being catered for China market.
