It's been just over two weeks since Apple's WWDC 2020 keynote, where it announced its big new software updates that are coming this year. As usual, developer betas were released afterward, and now, it's time for another developer beta.

For those that hop on board with the first beta, beta 2 is a much-awaited product. The first builds are typically raw and buggy, and the second one clears up a lot of issues. Keep in mind, however, that it doesn't clear up all issues, and the updates will stay buggy for a while. This is still a developer beta, and Apple will release public betas when it deems the software updates ready.

Those software updates are iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, tvOS 14, and macOS 11 Big Sur. Most of the release notes in beta 2 aren't up yet at the time of this writing, but along with bug fixes, you can expect some UI tweaks and even some new features that didn't make it into the first beta.

All of the feature updates will ship this fall, with a public beta coming this month. In fact, this will be the first time that there's a public beta for watchOS. Installing watchOS betas has always been risky, since there's no way to roll back to the production OS on an Apple Watch, and it's unclear how or even if Apple has found a way to resolve that.

But if you're on the developer beta, you can check for updates now to find the new builds. If not, check out our guide for installing it.
