I was unable to run the portable version of it in latest windows 10 build, loading progress bar gets a third of the way along and crashes.

Let me wish you good luck with that.

Although his website claims suggestions/bug reports are most welcome, the developer actually never ever cares to reply not a single email. 🙄

I tried to install the portable on Win 7. It installed, but when launching

the program it said "Xmedia Recode has stopped working...."

I went back to portable version 3.5.0.1 by El Chupacabra.:dance::dance:

Both (x86 + x64) original portable versions are working fine for me on Windows 10 Enterprise.

EDIT - here's a fix for XMedia Recode 3.5.1.0 crashing:  Download  XMedia Recode 3.5.0.1 portable and run it at least once. Replace with XMedia Recode 3.5.1.0 - it should now work fine.
