mp68terr
Was using ftp commands to transfer files between two computers, not router. What about the commands blocked (firewall) by either of the devices? Edit: and is there no info in the manual regarding how to use the router as a ftp server?
pepperoni
If the router is ISP provided you probably won't be able to get to the settings. If not ISP provided, choose Security > ONT Access Control Configuration, and select Enable the LAN-Side PC to Access the ONT Through FTP and Enable the WAN-Side PC to Access the ONT Through FTP. If you enter ftp://192.168.100.1 you should be able to see your USB device. Also ... I have a Netgear router that will only see USB sticks, it won't see USB HDDs.
