Malwarebytes is a next-generation antivirus replacement. Malwarebytes is the first of its kind for home users, employing four independent technology modules anti-malware, anti-ransomware, anti-exploit, and malicious website protection to block and remove both known and unknown threats. Malwarebytes has been engineered to provide the most effective layered approach of prevention, detection and remediation technologies. Malwarebytes detects malware automatically, before it can infect, shields vulnerable systems and software from exploit attacks, stops ransomware attacks before your data is held hostage, prevents access to and from known malicious webpages, Detects and removes malware and advanced threats, removes rootkits and repairs the files they damage.

Thanks to Astron for the update.

I did have a trial Premium version of Malwarebytes. I uninstalled it with Revo uninstaller in order to get rid of the leftovers. Then I installed this version. First the command.exe (Malwarebytes.exe),with administrator rights. It will update the policy (you don`t have to close it yet)..Then after that ,install the mbam (free )setup. Switch on the proxy settings as instructed. When you go to your account it should be activated. Then you can switch your proxy off. Because of the fact that my premium trial version (14 days)was expired , I did change the date to a date when it was not yet expired. After installing I switch the date again. So far it works. But it is too early to say it will work forever. Otherwise you have to repeat the same steps again. Heres to you.

Hi all!

Here is the original link to this crack:

Site: https://github.com
Sharecode: /NguyenKhong/LicenseMalwareBytes

It seems that the LicenseMalwareBytes.exe file configures a fake license server for Malwarebytes, making it believe that a valid license has been inserted by the user... This method can certainly work, but I haven't tested it on my computer.

Here is also a silent repack of Malwarebytes to easily activate this software:

Site: https://dosya.co
Sharecode: /956dv3lmcg8l/Malwarebytes_Premium_4.1.2.73_64_bit_Silent.rar.html

In any case, don't forget that all fixes for Malwarebytes patch the hosts file, which prevents the verification of the license. However, it seems that downloading updates is still functional. ;)

Happy computing! :)

Hi @duddy,

From what I could understand, this executable file patches the hosts file by adding the IP addresses of Malwarebytes' servers to prevent verification of the inserted license, and configures a kind of security certificate for the software.

However, I don't know more (despite the fact that this activator has been coded in the Python language), but I think it's possible that the software may quickly revert to the free version and detect the hosts file as malicious, knowing that it has been deliberately modified.

By the way, I believe that the license of Malwarebytes is located in this folder: "%ProgramData%\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\config\LicenseConfig.json". ;)

By opening it with a text editor, it's possible to modify the license key and its validity date, although I don't know if it could work.

Best regards

@Tux 528 I've Sharecoded your link this time. "Fixes" must be Sharecoded.

Please read the following Topic so you know how to Sharecode correctly in future:

my bad i apologize. i lurk too much so i forget 😥

so what is the consensus? it's not malware itself is it? also if it blocks mbam internet, how do you update the database?

Check the proof of activation in the description; we tested before passing it on the tracker.

1. After installation, run LicenseMalwareBytes.exe as administrator.

2. Do the proxy & port part in the program also & adequately let the LicenseMalwareBytes.exe open in the background while adding the proxy & port in the program settings.

3. Once you've done adding the proxy & port, you will see the Malwarebytes is activated!

seemingly works for me.

but is there some place where you can check where it sets the https proxy on windows 10?

https://helpdeskgeek.com/networking/internet-connection-problem-proxy-settings/

https://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-set-up-a-proxy-in-windows-10/

just to see where it changes for that, and how to undo it later?

had mbam installed. the premium expired, then became free.

ran the app that does the proxy stuff, right click run as admin. says its doing some magic behind the scenes.

then refer to the instructions, it said add the proxy details in mbam. turn it on, go accounts check, then go back turn off proxy.

exited mbam. i used total uninstall to remove mbam. no reboot required.

then installed the mbam they provided, it says it's still free..... so i go settings add the proxy again. then i go check accounts, lo behold it says it's premium and will expire long after we are dead.

maybe some parts of what i did was unecessary, but i just explain the steps i tested which resulted in it working for me. i'm sure there a bunch of people in a situation where they have mbam already in free mode because their trial expired already, and unsure what to do :}

I used wireshark to monitor Malwarebytes 3 premium to see which domains are used for telemetry. The domains are listed below and does't interfere with updates. You can either block the domains in your hosts file or if your using Pi Hole just put them into your blacklist:

telemetry.malwarebytes.com
keystone.mwbsys.com
malwarebytes.invisionmanaged.net
sirius.mwbsys.com
hubble.mb-cosmos.com
