Karlston
Microsoft's redesigned Edge Add-ons page is now live for all users Microsoft announced today that the redesigned Edge Add-ons page is now live for all users. The company says that the revamp aims at addressing “several key concerns” that were highlighted by users pertaining to the discovery of add-ons for the browser. The key changes include a revised storefront for improved discoverability, accessibility improvements, and improved search results. The main storefront has been updated to include a list of curated extensions, including in categories such as ‘Editor’s picks’ that include newly added entries. This helps users discover new extensions that have been added to the store, in addition to the already present offerings. The Redmond giant says that it has also improved the navigation between categories and the search results page. Search results also provide more information and possible actions for the extensions. The company also says that the redesigned Add-ons page ties in with efforts made to improve the extensions manager page in the browser to help first time users with navigating and managing the browsers extensions. The revamped page also includes improvements to accessibility features such as high contrast mode or narrator. Lastly, the Redmond giant adds that it will be simplifying the Partner Center in the next few months to help extension developers manage their extensions better. You can head to the Edge Add-ons page here to check out the redesign. The company began accepting extensions submissions for Edge back in December and the page still retains the Beta tag. Edge users can also head to the Chrome Web Store to download extensions, as those are also supported by the Edge browser.
