<img src="/images/logos/uTor.png" class="logo" alt="µTorrent" title="µTorrent" />µTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With µTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, µTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Thanks to SacredCultivator for the update.

Thanks for fixing it. :shy: I was typing out the build number manually and was so caught up trying to make sure it was correct that I forgot to add in beta at the end.

has anyone noticed slower download speeds with the newer utorrent versions? I have stuck with version 1.8.5 because any of the updates after drastically reduces the download speeds. I am able to hit like 300-700KB with 1.8.5, however after updating to the newer versions i would barely hit 30-80KB and this was tested on the same file. Any reason why the speeds have slowed down? did they implement some kind of ratio or upload limit effecting it's speed?

2.1 always crashes repeatedly by me so I cannot check if the speed it slower. Try using version 2.0 RC2. I have not noticed any speed decrease on it but I will be sure to keep an eye out for any performance issues. Read though this guide on speeding up uTorrent by Sonar and see if you could pick up any tweaks that might help.

I havne't had any problems wiht any of the 2.0/2.1 builds yet. Lucky me I guess, as I have read a lot of people mentioning about constant crashes.

I did a temporary upgrade yesterday and ran some OpenOffice torrents to check... I lost my Custom WebUI, had to upgrade it..and Status Icons.. so I dunno same thing happen when I upgraded to 1.8... What is all this DNA and Streaming stuff... I mean Streaming seems as though it would be able to stream it sooner or something, but I haven't got a clue what DNA is.. and then I ran across the Falcon Project.. so I am a little confused on what all is going on right now..with uTorrent.. Still have to mod my WebUI.. I think if I ever wait for a final.. it may not come.. (There never has been one..LOL)

Project Falcon is pretty lame... It's just another version of WebUI... But MUCH less responsive... At least for me.

So I'm not using 2.1 + Falcon, just 2.1 Beta.

No idea on DNA, but I have it disabled.

uTorrent changed teh date to reflect the actual Release Date now and now of its previous one.
