T3rM1nat0Rr3
Intel® Graphics Driver provides some new enhancements and critical fixes for issues seen in games and display support. If you are uncertain which Intel® Processor is in your computer, Intel recommends using the Intel® Processor Identification Utility or Intel® Driver Update Utility to identify your Intel Processor. Thanks to Astron for the update. Download

Also, I don't understand why just post the message "Intel Graphics Driver 27.20.100.8280" without adding for which graphics card it is designed for and which versions of Windows it works with. There are a lot of similar things with innovated/updated drivers. One simple example of an Intel driver: if I use the driver version 8.15.10.1968, it works, but if I use the updated driver 8.15.10.2702, it also works, but there are problems. The other, with what I just had problem, is one very new driver for the Intel HD Graphics 620 driver, it gets updates mostly every month, but all of them wont work as should. So, the latest is not always the best. In my opinion, recommendations for graphics card driver updates should not be shared at all, because there are so many of them and they are very individual. Everyone should find one that suits them and no one can recommend them, because their suitability sometimes even depends on the release date of the computer motherboard. PS. I forgot. The same is true of BIOS updates. I've been dealing with them a lot lately because people are updating their computer's BIOS and the result is pretty typical - the computer won't boot at all anymore. Maybe even never will boot again if some damaged part is not replaced. With AA, someone found that an update was available, but did not indicate which computers the update was intended for. Also, be very careful with BIOS updates, and if you're not having problems, don't rush to update. The result can be very sad and bad.

I add few things to your comment. Intel has also posted an advisory with regards of using the generic driver: Quote Installing this Intel generic graphics driver will overwrite your Computer Manufacturer (OEM) customized driver. OEM drivers are handpicked and include customized features and solutions to platform-specific issues. The generic Intel driver provides users the latest and greatest feature enhancements and bug fixes that OEMs may not have customized yet to address platform-specific needs. Users can check for matching OEM versions at OEM websites. My Ideapad 320 for example, have Intel HD Graphics 620 which are supported. But since my system shipped with standard driver (a.k.a. non-DCH driver), I can't even upgrade to the generic driver and had to rely on OEM-provided driver (which Lenovo provide on their product support page, but still a non-DCH driver). Unless if Lenovo releases an update to enable users to use DCH driver, I already able to use DCH driver on my system. p/s: Seems that Intel listed v27.20.100.8190 as the latest driver, instead of v27.20.100.8280. Could Intel detecting something wrong with the 8280 driver?

It's true that some companies don't want to allow drivers that they haven't checked and digitally signed It is also likely that v27.20.100.8280 has not been verified/signed by computer companies. I have the same story, so far it is v27.20.100.8190 and if I install the last version, I will be prompted to reinstall v27.20.100.8190 very soon. Just now I checked online, what is installed and what is recommended by Intel and by DELL. Both recommends v27.20.100.8190. I have Dell Inspiron with wrranty time, but I aredy have removed all DELL's junk.

Also, I have posted a previous news regarding generic drivers from Intel can be installed on top of OEM drivers. But this rule only applies for systems (a.k.a. OEM) shipped with DCH drivers and upgrading to generic DCH driver provided by Intel, while the rule of not allowing OEM standard driver to upgrade to DCH driver is still there. Therefore, the DCH driver is considered semi-unlocked. Plus, one must know that Intel are now only developing DCH driver, less focusing on standard driver. However, some users also reporting stability issues, and OEM incompatibility issues as well. So safe course is to remain on OEM driver, unless if it's a power user. BTW, this driver fixes an issue with v8190 and windows 2004. With v8190, the computer would not shut down if fast startup was enabled. After installing v8280, the system shuts down properly. This happened on an HP G7 notebook.
