majithia23
hey techies ,,hows it going !!!well the vista has again bugged .i am using genuine vista basic X86 and its is behaving strangely .whenever i try to run any program ,they just dont start up .whichever it may be , utorrent , skype or aimp ,,, i mean any ...it wont open .what happens when i click on a program is "the alarm ting " and a error mesage . ( see the attached capture )this is the third time it has happened ,and every time , one common factor is the laptop s uptime , and it is beyond 2 days .this time it is 3 days 19 hrs as of nw , and last time it was around 2 days + that is if it remains switched on for long enough , i encounter this problem ..never encountered it before ,as i remember an uptime of around 10 days also .and yes ,if i just restart ,all is well !!!strange ...any ideas guys what could be wrong ?ps. ram is not an issue , as i have plenty of it to throw around ...thanks .. mara-
Did you scan it for malware? And when you say "ps. ram is not an issue , as i have plenty of it to throw around ...", do you mean you have a lot of ram in you system or you have some spare RAM to test with. If the first is case, you should check if RAM you have works properly. You can test it with memtest86.Cheers ;)

Administrator DKT27 Posted December 30, 2009 Administrator Share Posted December 30, 2009 First, don't start scannin your MBAM and ESET together.Second. IOBit should not run in startup together with MBAM.You can try disablin tuneup utilities at startup if it runs at startup.
