@tranphu  @Actver

Uninstall, then manually delete "Internet Download Manager" folder. Then reinstall v6.37.b14 and folllow up with "Activator_v1.8.1_By_ActVer" and reboot ur pc ^

if problems remain?
print, take a snapshot of the content, so that it shows everything in the current folder (Internet Download Manager) ^

you should uninstall IDM with Revo uninstaller then reinstall it
you may use Hidden2000 patch if your problem still not solved

Internet Download Manager 6.37 Build 14
---------------------------
You have 20 days left to use Internet Download Manager. Do you want to register your copy of IDM now?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------

I confirm it was a bad idea Tonec !

The first one was mentionned in the previous topic. Apparently, it will be visible only for one day (each week ? after 7 days ? etc).

I have a little bad news @Dukun Cabul because the both (the trial reset and the AIO) didn't seem able to fix this trouble.

That's why I'm wonder if there are design to disable this warning ?

Hello Guys...... It's really annoying  "fake serial key" message pop up. Do you know any site where I can get IDM license at cheap price.

I follow Manual Guide of Actver:

On 5/2/2020 at 11:39 AM, Actver said:

Note:

Windows Updates may update to new version and create a new folder with newer version once that happens find the folder, copy its name and rename folder name of the older version in IDM to the newer one.

And everything works great now.

Thanks for help.

@Ali.Dbg

Hi Ali, I think using your medicine is causing a small bug to the way IDM takes over the downloads from the browser. I've tested this issue after a clean install on 2 different PCs without any medicine and after using your medicine. It only starts happening after applying your medicine. Ill try to provide the steps to replicate the issue:

After installing IDM and applying the medicine, go to Options and uncheck the "Launch IDM on startup" (see screenshot) and click OK.

Next, reboot the PC but DO NOT launch IDM.

Just open a browser like FireFox or Chrome and try downloading any file.

You will see that IDM is not downloading the file and instead the browser will start downloading it.

The only way for IDM to start taking over the downloads again is to launch it once. Now it will take over downloads from the browsers. However, after a reboot you will have to launch IDM again for it to start taking over the downloads.

Is anybody else able to replicate this issue? Ali can you see if you can fix it?

@AmitG,  Clean well all previous installations , use a Registry Cleaner  ( like RegClean Pro). Use also those functions that the tool shows--» REMOVE and CLEAN. Let the progam work at least 30 seconds on each phase. Follow instructions well explained by the author--» @sledge101.

Sense v.6.37.8,  I just had to update and remains registered.

Mine is Win10 x64.

Let me know if it works for you.

Good luck.

^ According to his instruction,if your OS recently undergo an update, you should also reactivate the patch because the folder needed for his dll to work also changes because of the Windows Update...

I used @sledge101 's firewall method only (not the patch as well) and it fails to start downloads from the browser...

Im not about to try the patch method, after a full clean and reboot

I usually would use @Actver 's patch but having to un-read only the folder and then re-reun the patch and then re-read only the folder after windows update sis a bit of work for those not computer savvy. Not @Actver fault at all, but my friends are not that clever :)

You should try @Dukun Cabul's AIO, it's the simplest tool ever. You literally do just one click, according to your need (activate, remove nag screen, reset/cleanup). You don't have to patch, add/remove files, rename, etc. Also, it works with any new version. I've been using it for 2 years, with literally just 2 clicks: once two years ago to activate IDM, and another click half a year ago when I got a fake serial nag screen. The true definition of set-it-and-forget-it

maybe this will help you out... for blocking method only..browser issues simulation

PS: must check IDM to launch at startup ( not included in video simulation ). IDM should be loaded/run first before opening browser

I had some really weird issue last night, one being my IDM reg key was locked when i tried ot remove it fully....does your tool lock reg keys? or maybe Actvers does...anyways someones patcher really screwed my registry key up for IDM. Also, unrelated, my Firefox profile decided to stop working, in sofar as i couldnt download anything and i couldnt get a file open dialogue when trying to export my addons data when trying to backup before reinstall, unless i used safe mode (no addons, no addon backup...fun times), so i assume the IDM addon, even after removal, had screwed that up....even disabling ALL addons couldnt revive the profile, so i had to uninstall firefox completely and create a new profile, and restore backups of my addons data form a month ago....an hour later...working Firefox...and then nsanedown was down, so i couldnt update my post above to say it may not have been your tool that caused the failure of no downloads starting after all....

Ive switched back to the old cracked .exe for now....id gotten used to waiting on november_rain posting his patched .exe uploads, and then switched to @Actver 's method of patching, but thats gotten a little more complex to tell friends how to update...for me its fine, but not for them....and i hate getting phone calls... :)

No, im not using registry lock in the latest toolbox  .  I removed that since v3.2 in unlimited trial section only due to not working in build 6.36 and above versions when using unlmiited trial patch ( time nag issues ).

Registry cleaner > Remover > Removes the registry thrash

Cleaner button > Removes and resets IDM to trial ( integration of WA trial script there as addon)

The blocking method u mention is just to block with the firewall and make sure it is placed/working and set idm settings to load first before browser opens or setting up your idm extension browsers . video simulation provided. the v3.4 added educatonal tips in browser configuration . Once you've done that just download update.

PS:

1. Upon opening the toolbox , there are tips there that it is not compatible when using other registry blocking methods as it may get errors especially whn doing registry cleaning method ( intro).  Furthermore, About section may help you set it up.

2.  Patch exe is a new one so far i have been exploring , seems to be working in old till 14 so waiting if something changes in future versions.

I have never used another patcher than blocks the reg key (unless Actvers patch does), so finding that key with permissions errors (i had to reboot into a Windows PE and remove it), was alarming

I did use your registry remover/cleaner steps as suggested....befor ei did the firewall block ...i assumed the firewall block & register was enough, and that patching the exe was NOT required? Its a bit confusing....option fatugue perhaps? :)

Unfortunately its hard to follow your patch because the window cant be maximised and the writing is small...especially when you have bad eyesight like me :)

yes, toolbox jhas 2 methods only

1. firewall block and register

2. patch and register

depends on what you prefer.   nevertheless , if your idm ok then thats great
