Here's a list of some of the best Chrome extensions I've found over the years.

Some of them only need to be enabled on an as-needed basis.

  • Backspace to go Back - Restores browser behavior of navigating to previous page when pressing the Backspace key.
  • Bitwarden - Free Password Manager - A secure and free password manager for all of your devices.
  • Copy Link Text - Copies the text inside of a link.
  • Dark Reader - Dark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes.
  • Death To _blank - Prevents links from opening in new tabs by removing the _blank attribute.
  • Disconnect - Visualize and block the invisible websites that track you.
  • DuckDuckGo !bangs - Add DuckDuckGo bang buttons to search results and search links in the context menu.
  • DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials - Protect your data as you search and browse.
  • Empty New Tab Page - Black - Shows a blank black page rather than the default one.
  • Enhancer for YouTube™ - Tons of features to improve your user experience on YouTube
  • Extensions Button - Toolbar icon for quick access to your installed extensions.
  • Google Translate - View translations easily as you browse the web.
  • Grammarly - From grammar and spelling to style and tone, Grammarly helps you eliminate writing errors.
  • Hello, Goodbye - Automatically blocks annoying chat widgets.
  • HTTPS Everywhere - Automatically switches thousands of sites from insecure "http" to secure "https".
  • I'm a Gentleman - Easily save images with a click, gestures or the extension button.
  • Imagus - Enlarge thumbnails, and show images/videos from links with a mouse hover.
  • MEGA - Reduce loading times and improve download performance when using MEGA.nz file host.
  • Notifier for Gmail™ - Multiple label and account notifier for Google Mail (Gmail).
  • OneTab - Click the toolbar icon to reduce all open tabs to a list.
  • Poper Blocker - Block annoying pop-ups, pop-unders, and overlays in an easy and effective way.
  • Reddit Enhancement Suite - A suite of modules that enhance your Reddit browsing experience.
  • Refined GitHub - Simplifies the GitHub interface and adds useful features.
  • Shut Up: Comment Blocker - Toggles comments on many popular websites.
  • SimpleExtManager - A simple menu to enable, disable and access options of extensions.
  • SingleClick Cleaner - Empty the cache, clear history, remove cookies, clear saved form data, etc. in just one click.
  • Smile Always - Forces Amazon.com links to redirect to Smile.Amazon.com
  • Stylus - A user styles manager that allows you to easily install themes and skins for many popular sites.
  • uBlacklist - Blocks sites you specify from appearing in Google search results.
  • uBlock Origin - An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there.
  • uBlock Origin Extra - A companion extension to uBlock Origin: to gain ability to foil early hostile anti-user mechanisms working around content blockers.
  • Unseen for Facebook - Remove the ”seen” feature from the facebook messenger. Your friends won´t be able to tell if you read their messages.
  • Video Downloader Plus - Download MP4, MOV, AVI, ASF, MPG from various sites (but not YouTube)

  • Wikiwand: Wikipedia Modernized - Optimizes Wikipedia's amazing content for a quicker and significantly improved reading experience.
  • YouTube Auto Like - Automatically like YouTube videos from your favorite content creators.

I will try to use them again together but it seems to me that the browser is somehow "heavy". Maybe it's just my impression ...
