Revo Uninstaller Pro 4.3.1

Hi guys!

After testing the two patches of Gomutan Sungai and Mr. Szzs, Revo Uninstaller displays a window like this, saying that the license key is invalid or has expired:

Revo-Uninstaller-2.png

It seems that the new version of the software fixes a number of flaws regarding its activation. I specify that my hosts file has not been modified and that no firewall rule have been added. I also tested these 2 patches on older versions (v4.3.0, v4.2.1) and it works.

You also have to copy or overwrite the license file at ProgramData\VS Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller Pro. Then it should work.

@BrainWave036 Thank you for your answer, but I don't see the point of activating the software with another license file on a previously patched version, apart from hiding the validity period of the license, which is besides useless because the license of @pawel97 is already unlimited in time.
The patches for Revo Uninstaller only modify the executable to hide this license validity period, to insert an unlimited/customized license file by the author of the patch, and to prevent the software from connecting to Internet...

EDIT: I just noticed that the "Buy Now" button in the main menu doesn't work anymore; it may be a coincidence...

I just think that the developers have fixed these kinds of flaws to prevent these patches from working, nothing more. I've tested these 2 patches several times and the software always displays this kind of windows when it is opened.

However, you can also test this on your side to see if it works with this version. ;)

Regards

Hello Tux 528. For the Pawel97 you don´t need a patch at all. Just copy the license file in the folder. The .reg file is just that you can give a register name. Nothing more. I had the same issue when I used a another license file before. The program stores the license file at two folders. I just copied it at the standard folder and get the message you mentioned. After copy it also to the ProgramDate folder the issue was solved. I now use the Pawel97 license file because it´s unlimited.

Hello @BrainWave036,
I think we misunderstood each other. When I tested the 2 patches, Revo Uninstaller was not activated and displayed the message I posted above. Then, you advised me to insert "the" license file in the ProgramData folder, which I didn't really understand because these 2 patches had already inserted their own license file in this folder, and modified the executable of the software to hide the expiration date of this license file (which was already expired, in fact).

I know the ProgramData folder very well, because I created a toolbox for Revo Uninstaller, which proposes to activate it with 2 license files (the one for @pawel97 and the one for @xanax). ;)

Normally, a patch should completely activate a software (which is the case on older versions of RU), and not just hide a validity period of any license. You can test these patches on previous versions (v4.2.3, v4.3.0), and you will find that not only is the software activated, but the license key "created" by @Mr. Szzs is different from the one of @pawel97.

As far as the Gomutan Sungai patch is concerned, it also works on older versions and also inserts a license file, whose license key and validity period are both hidden in the "About" window, to show only the registered username.

Best regards
