is there a way using your release that we can check for updates, and download updates from within the app, without losing the registration or getting fake serial pop-up.. currently it seems it completely blocks access to the IDM website.

Anti-Virus software may be preventing this.
Or you have to wait a bit during the patch process. Because the FS Cleaner process comes into play, you should wait a bit at this stage.

@yaschir The patching went without a hitch. No interference from Anti-Virus. etc..

Process explorer shows the IDMan.exe start then the process terminates(!).

Is it the same? And Internet Download Manager is corrupt and not working, is it?

it is ok here... tested and restart.. it is patch and need some registry to activate.. if no activate means some reg cannot be import into your windows... maybe you apply some trial mod patch that lock the registry......

Correct. It doesn't not launch / is not working (I reverted back to the previous 6.36.7 for now).

As I guessed exactly.
I think your problem is due to the pre-existing "nlaapi.dll" and "version.dll" files in the installation folder of the Internet Download Manager application. I tested it on xp, IDMan does not work when these files exist. Please delete these "nlaapi.dll" and "version.dll" files and try again.

How do I clean my PC before a new Fix done by another member - normally I uninstall completely the Internet download manager with Revo Uninstaller (now v.4.3.0) :

Then I use for cleaning the following software :

 

1)=  "Everything Search" -  Find, Internet download manager ;

2)=   "Registry Workshop" - Find, Internet download manager;

3)=    CCleaner Pro + CCEnhancer ;

4)=    Kerish Doctor 2020

5)=    Wise Registry Cleaner

 

Reboot Computer.

 

Only then , I install idm and fix (according to the instructions).

Hi guys a patch that surely works for the latest version of idm on windows 10 x64? I have already tried Activer 1.7 and IDM TOOLBOX 2020 R3 and they don't work for me ... I get the message that the program was recorded with a fake serial ... I installed idm in another hdd no on the local disk 😔

Did you happen to try using this one that I indicated, because it really works.

I had used Ali and it didn't work, it showed the fake serial screen too, then I used this one that I indicated and it worked normally ...
