Popular Post chessman101
I have always been passionate about exposing unscrupulous software vendors who make deceptive claims about the functionality or security of their products. Today, I am exposing a rather popular vendor named Gilisoft that has made the false claim that their USB Encryption product uses AES-256 encryption to securely store your files. After delving into the methodologies employed by this software, it has become clear that this product does not encrypt your files but simply stores them in their original state in a hidden file on your usb drive. Here is the full article published on my blog that documents the step-by-step exposure of these marketing lies: http://reverseengineeringtips.blogspot.com/2020/04/gilisoft-usb-encryption-1000-lies-about.html kyber, Threepwood, haris_sane69 and 8 others 8
medp7060
Kruptos 2 Professional v7 is also among those software vendors who make deceptive claims. See here: kiwidave
hiesnc
On this topic, is there any easy to use USB encryption software recommendations? I tried a few but they all create a container files which it difficult for oldies user. There was only one USB software that make it quite easy to use that work almost like Bitlocker (didn't want to use Bitlocker because of very slow decryption and freeze) where upon opening the USB it will popup to ask for the Password which I find easiest but can't find that software anymore.
